But it DOES NOT BELONG where they're putting it. It's so jarring. This is the worst soundtrack supervision I've encountered in a show in years. I agree. I love the ending credits music too, but its like their punching you in the face with it sometimes. It's like dawg it coulda waited til the fadeout. Its very jarring.

It was flawed, but very entertaining. The most fun i've had with anything in the franchise in a long time.

It was a story that didnt even really need the xenomorph in it to be interesting. I usually cringe at the attempts to use other life forms, but that eye thingie was fantastic.

We demand more eye thingie.


It is the new baby yoda.

It's too bad we never got to see Boy Kavalier communicate with it after it got a human host. I wanted to see what that would be like.

I imagine they are going to have another season considering all those guys left still alive at the end, and Weyland's presuming ongoing attempts to aquire the creatures.

The way the ending was made, is leaving it open to continue the story.

I think someone in this thread said this would make for a cool video game. Imagine being able to summon the Alien to kill some guards shooting at you? would be kinda sick.

It was interesting to note how the different species were hostile to each other too.

Anyone can be forgiven for disliking and/or being confused by Alien 3, at least the theatrical cut. I always thought that I had a hard time keeping track of the all the characters because they were all shaved with similar clothing. But that's really not it. They cut so much out of the film that some characters just appear and disappear. They eliminate crucial parts of scenes and fuse them with the tail end of other ones, such that their plan to deal with the creature makes no sense whatsoever in the theatrical cut.

In the actual film's conceit, they succeed in capturing the Alien. There's refrain, reflection and then the discovery of what Ripley is dealing with. Then Golick lets it out and we have the finale. To this day I have no idea why Brandywine did what they did, and I have a newfound appreciation for both the film, as well as Fincher.
 
Show started out with a lot of promise than got worse and worse as it went on. By the end it was a steaming pile. In the end it was more of a severely dumbed down bladerunner show than an alien show.


Show morphed from an Alien movie into Alita Battle Angel half way through.
Supposed "boy genius" sabotaging a rival's ship on an unsecured channel. Rival not even mentioning this during negotiations.
Synthetic in charge helping kids sabotage for no apparent reason--not in his interest, ends up killing him.

I am not necessarily looking forward to it, but I am going to watch it.

I hope that they realize that the eyeball is the real breakout star and proceed accordingly

I hope they realize that 'all setup and no payoff' is a terrible way to structure a season of television.

Yea, the writing got extremely shitty. No consistency, cyborg kids were a more and more nuisance, android arc random and without any sense, alien-whispering and omni-control of electronics cringeworthy bad.

The eye thing was interesting but to reanimate that scientist by it…

In the Aliens extended universe, there's plenty of rogue synthetics acting for they're own personal interests.

There's one in Alien Resurrection.
 
Im glad. I thought it had problems but I enjoyed more than I didnt, and Im hoping the more time Hawley spends writing it, the better it gets.
 
No spoilers.
So many problems, what a train wreck by the finale. Episode 8 was a struggle and I'm left unsure if I'll watch another season. Hawley's output has been suffering, and even my love of some seasons of fargo, legion, and some of the alien movies might not get me to watch anymore of this. Just disappointed
