100%. The rock throws me off but I can sorta ignore it cuz it's the credits essentially. Doesn't fit Alien, regardless. Odd too, because the intro nails it IMO
I think they are playing 90's music because of the lyrics 🤔

Still trying to figure out which way Kirsch is going to lean to, when shit begins. Or what's he's planning ahead for.

Honestly, I think he bites it. Probably protecting that boy cavalier dweeb. I hate that kid's guts.

So your worried about what her emotions, intellect?
That's like an Onion asking how do I take care of a Star. lol.

Also I think he has plans for Peter Pan.
I could be wrong though.

I'm still enjoying the show despite the lack of safety protocols not making sense to me and some very dumb decisions by the characters. I think my brain can kinda get passed it because people/corporations can/have done some pretty dumb shit in real life so while I think it hurts the show, it doesn't break it for me. The show is just fun to watch despite its flaws, for me at least.

Also, at least as the hybrids are concerned, they’re literally children and are prone to making silly mistakes. But yeah, we have plenty of fail videos on the internet depicting workers violating procedure to sometimes catastrophic conclusions too.
I say fair play to people’s critiques of the show as it pertains to their specific taste but this show just has an aura about it, that allows me to overlook nitpicks. I even like the characters I probably shouldn’t because of that.

Top notch TV!

I'm so impressed with how they let the monsters get their time on screen. It's creative and very detailed. And the camera that lingers and zooms in on the doorway as if more is coming. It's eerie and effective and very good entertainment.

It's strange to see the reactions in this thread. Either you hate it or you love it. I get the feeling that the US as a country is very polarized. I wonder if it's the Trump-loving people who view this series negatively?

Well said

Hadn’t chimed in here but I absolutely love this show. It’s arguably the best Alien media outside of the first couple of movies and I’m someone who enjoys 3 and Prometheus. The Xeno not being the only alien threat is such a great spin and adds a breath of fresh air.

The actors playing the kids are great, that role could have been played terribly but they’ve done a good-great job. That said, Morrow has absolutely stolen the show. Incredible performance that gets better with each episode.

Episode 5 was one of the best hours of horror and suspense I’ve seen and could rival a full length movie. Episode 6 was a bit of a letdown after that but I get it’s there to lay the foundation for the last couple of episodes.

Hope they stick the landing.

I'm not sure he has the boy's interests at heart. The way he was watching shit go to hell in the lab from the security cam with curiosity but no concern made it look he has a totally different agenda.

Not sure if he's in the Yutani camp or the kill all humans camp.

I think people like you who could somehow politicize a show about aliens are the problem.

Only actor I think is kinda underselling it is the brother character. He just doesn't have that fraternal, human-touch vibe they're supposed to be going for.

I think he will evolve to be like David in Covenant.

That is to say, he considers the Aliens to be superior biological lifeforms to humans, and as such they're just a lot more likable/admirable.

He has some traits that resemble that guy from Spartacus.

Isn't it all about politics these days? I think it would have been very wise if you Americans who were stupid enough to vote for Trump not once but twice could receive some feedback from the rest of us who observe you from afar. We who live in Europe from left to right have something in common that we agree with each other these days, and that is precisely the childish organgutang and his highly inappropriate way of being.

I feel sorry for you.

watching ep6 and now they are completely shitting on the concept of xenos as nightmare killing machines. every scene is out of place

The second they showed the fly feeding tray consisting of rocks and electronics it was obvious that kid was bug snacks. Anybody still harboring illusions that eyeball wasn't malevolent had that dispelled.

I was kinda shocked that the ship sabotage wasn't brought up in the settlement negotiation. I figured that's why Morrow was at the meeting, but at least we got the Morrow/Kirsch elevator conversation.

I do find the constant lack of supervision over the kids to be offputting.

Still waiting for plant alien to do something. They keep teasing and teasing, so the payoff better be worth it.
