How in the blue hell does he know exactly how Ali looks, his exact background, and his status as an FBI informant if he didn't talk to him?

This book was the first time Ali outed himself as an FBI informant. It wasn't known before then. So no shit he talked to him, it's idiotic to believe otherwise.

Making up fake interviews is illegal. The author would be in deep shit if the quotes weren't from Ali.
