Alexander Hernandez rips UFC for card placement at UFC 271 and now is on the main card.

I mean, I kinda agree it should maybe be higher on the card. But Hernandez is an obvious meathead egomaniac and can’t complain too much when he’s been alternating wins and losses for the past 4 years.

Plenty of ranked fighters in the prelims, and Phillips/Rojo taking a main card spot over them is a bit weird.

Can understand Green/Haqparast getting a main card spot, but not that one.

Agreed, but they always do this though.

It is weird that they buried Moicano/Hernandez on the early prelims with a bunch of no-names, and they're not even the "featured" prelim. They should at least be on the ESPN broadcast. No one cares about Phillips/Rojo, and that one should be on the prelims, not a $75 main card.

Cause you get your ass kicked when you're not fighting bums or cheap shotting Dariush.

I think Hernandez still has the potential to be solid.

I'm not sure man. The Dariush KO is looking like more and more of a fluke. He's been soundly beaten by Dober and Moises since the Cowboy disaster, and those guys, while good, are still B level. The prospects who're the real deal at his weight class have generally taken the next step towards contendership at 29. Alex hasn't. His only two decisive victories in the past three years have been can crushes.

Hernandez has been very inconsistent in the UFC.
He really should be 2-4 over the last 6 fights, the fight against Trinaldo was an all time robbery

I somewhat agree given it's a Texas card and he's a Texas kid.

If he's using it as motivation to make a statement with his performance, then good for him.

When you get pieced up so bad you end up in the early prelims

As annoying as Hernandez personality is.... I do think he's better than most people think.
quite possible underdog win for him.

That's true but then again, look at Charley Olives :) Where he was and where he is now.
I'm not saying Hernandez will be champ, because I don't think so, but I think he has the potential to be a solid top 10 fighter.

Alex Hernandez vs Renato Moicano is on this weekend?

Remember when they were both the hot new little sluts on the scene?
