Gotta give credit to @BamBamBranham on this one. He posted it yesterday but used wiki as a source so it was deleted. Looks like it may happen though. So if this matchup goes through, who wins?

Please note that given the sources and the source given by @toe hold it seems this fight is just a RUMOR right now.

Rumor debunked! Thread has been wastelanded.

Makes sense for both guys. I'll go with OSP by decision.

Yea, that's reasonable. Good fight. I'm curious to see if Gus still got it in him.

Gus needs to win this one.

Speculation at this point. Link below from reputable Swedish MMA site. Somewhat crude translation.

Report: Ovince Saint Preux Vs. Alexander Gustafsson booked for UFC 201

There has been a report that Alexander Gustafsson will go into the match in a couple of months, more precisely at UFC 201 in Atlanta on July 30 against Ovince Saint Preux.

Reputation machine before UFC 201 in Atlanta, Georgia July 30 has begun. The Sprawl announces that they have received a report about our own Alexander Gustafsson (16-4) will face Ovince Saint Preux (19-8) at the gala. But Chamatkar Sandhu on MMAjunkie has been in contact with Gustafsson's management, which denies this task.

At the moment it looks like Robbie Lawler (27-10, 1 NC) will defend welterweight title against Tyron Woodley (15-3) in the gala's main match. No more matches have been booked to the gala.

Also if anyone has questions about the source I linked I can pull up like 3 other separate ones I saw from Twitter as well. This particular page, even though they have very few followers they've broken a lot of news and I've linked them many times before.

Both guys should be ranked around 7/8 and have losses to the top guys, so the fight makes total sense, I'll take Gus by UD.

Uhm short turnaround for a guy who got is arm broken VS Jones

I mentioned this earlier having seen it on wiki.

Surely OSP's broken arm isn't gonna healed enough for him to train properly?

Anyway, Gus, UD.

Yeah seems quick if OSP broke his arm but I'm no doctor so I have no idea. Is a solid fight for Gus. Gives him a chance to face a top guy but one he should beat.

Hopefully get his confidence back with this win as well. If Jones wins at 200 after Rumble he doesn't have much left. But a rematch with Gus would be really fun.

I downgraded the thread from in the works to rumor as it seems that's all it is for now.
