Media Alex Volkov - ONLY Ex-Bellator Champ EVER W/ Winning UFC Record

Crazy stat..
considering the talent - Eddie Alvarez, Michael Chandler, and so many others..

Any fighter outside of UFC who can actually do good in UFC?

A lot of them can do well, the big difference is these guys coming in with big records only get big fights.

Had the likes of Alvarez and Chandler entered the UFC after 5 or 6 fights, they'd have massively positive records.

Bellator fighters haven't done well, but the UFC went through periods in which fighters from other orgs were coming in and kicking ass.

Eddie won a belt and Masvidal fought twice for one. I'd say that's pretty good.

Most of the rest have just got smashed though.

Half the UFC Goats all came from other Organizations. Bellator in late stages wasn't amazing, and they actually often paid as much or better than UFC, and fighters only started transitioning at late stages of their careers.

Masvidal never fought in Bellator. He was a Strikeforce guy.

Edit: my bad, he fought 3 times in Bellator, but before UFC, he had most of his fights in Strikeforce, and underground with Kimbo.

Pitbull, Chandler, Alvarez, etc., all had a lot of miles on them when they signed to the ufc.
Alvarez and Will Brooks were in their primes when they came over, Alvarez had less bouts than Cerrone when they fought. that notion of Alvarez being washed when he came to the UFC is cope. Alvarez was at his peak.

Masvidal is generally not considered a Bellator guy. He's known for getting choked out by Toby Imada during their ESPN Deportes days. I definitely thought of him more as a Strikeforce transplant considering he fought Giblert Melendez for the title there.

Too bad prime King Mo never got a shot in the UFC
He kept it way too real when he called out that lady from the commission, or whatever she was from, and Dana sacked him. When he said it, he did the right thing. Anyway, after that he fought at moneyweight and won a RIZIN HWGP, a memory, as a guy who has loved the Oklahoma State Cowboys since he can remember, and the RIZIN guy around here, that I relish. He'd have likely done fine in the UFC, but I don't regret the path we walked down. Probably the minority, though.

The problem just seems to be with Bellator fighters. Like it's cursed.

Gaethje came in from WSOF and is doing alright.
Reindeer just came from ONE and is 3-0.
Paddy as you mentioned. Conor too.
Strikeforce had a few good guys come in and win belts.
it’s because the UFC haters hype the Bellator fighters up to a higher degree just becsuse of hate for Dana and the UFC. They want to be right that 2nd major org has the best players.

When reality there’s great fighters across the globe, the UFC is just the ultimate proving ground of it. You can’t prove your the best outside of it, when most of the worlds best are in the UFC especially in modern MMA.

He was actually on the first Bellator event, I think.

Totally forgot about his street fighting stuff with Kimbo lol.

What's crazy is that Volkov has been with the UFC since 2016. Doesnt feel like that long but apparently its been almost 10 years.

Because they are immediately fed killers right away. They don't get to build themselves up through the ranks

Guys like Eddie and Chandler have almost exclusively fought top 10 level fighters their entire UFC career.

I came here to say Eddie but looks like he was already mentioned.
