Media Alex Pereira wants trilogy vs Izzy

If ref didn't save Izzy, he probably would've gotten deaded too.
Like the 2 times the ref saved Alex in kickboxing, or how about the bell that saved him at the end of round 2 in their first MMA fight when Alex did the chicken dance?

They already announced winner of Rob vs Dricus fights Izzy on an Australian card end of the year. Izzy has a knee injury and Potan has a 6 months suspension after the KO so the rematch isn't happening any time soon. Plans could change but would be really shit if they screwed Rob on an Aussie card again after the Costa fiasco a few months ago. We definitely need to see the rematch but it probably won't be Izzy's next fight

Rob is a weak challenger for Izzy. Embarrassingly weak.

Alex is the only legitimate challenger, who can (and has) legit-flatlined Adesanya.

Any other matchup with Israel is a boring waste of everybody's time.

Alex Pereira is THE most exciting matchup for Israel Adesanya.

adasanay has 100 fights never been stopped in any sport other than pereira knocking him out twice.
landing the cleaner harder shots throughout the fight isn’t a dodgy decision. you talk like standing 8 counts are rare. They existed even in boxing until 20 years ago.
it’s more dangerous for fighters is why they got rid of it. You basically say well pereira was hurt twoce so when he came back and kod izzy it doesn’t mean much
Discounting that it’s a very impressive way to finish a fight
The same with Izzy’s last ko.

not the same

Izzy had Alex gone. He wasn't getting out on his own. He was 1 or 2 punches away from being TKO'd. This happened twice.
The first time he got the refs charity, the 2nd time the luck of the bell.

Izzy - even if he was hurt - did it all himself. No charity.

Great for Peiera to come back, but its always the details which elude the shertards. He didn't do it with his own skills abiities or ability to take a punch. He had help from the ref and pure luck. Thats why even a "3-0" he was still a pretty big underdog.

Over the top gloating and then ducking the trilogy fight?

I picked Izzy to win the last one, but damn, this is a terrible look unless he's trying to act like he even surprised himself by winning.

He's behaving like someone who got lucky and knife killed a bear, and is all high on themselves because of it, riding the ego boost and wanting others to feed it with him - however, and for good reason, wants absolutely nothing with actually knife fighting another one.

lol the only one who's had crazy luck is Alex.

It ran out. No more fast tracked title shots, no more saved by the bell, no more standing 8 counts, no more home town split decisions.

You would rather Israel sit on the shelf waiting to fight someone who is less likely to beat him?

Don't you want to see him in the best fights?
<{vega}>

You're salty as fuck, huh?

Are you trying to avoid a rematch because Izzy was getting beat on and looking like piss before Alex slipped up and made a mistake? Dick ride all you want, but they're 1-1 in MMA and any fan who isn't scared for their fighter would agree that a 3rd fight would settle it.

Alex has been Izzy's biggest test and challenge from anyone at MW. They should absolutely do a 3rd match as long as Izzy and his fans don't bitch out.

This just sounds like something an Izzy super fan/Alex hater would say, so I'm not going to really bother responding.

lmao another deluded Alex fan refusing to face reality

Izzy was "0-3" but still a significant betting favourite. Why would people bet on Izzy when he lost 3x AND as the favourite he offered a low payout compared to Alex?

Because whats obvious to the rest of the world except kids like you.... Alex was very lucky to even be in the last 3 fights.

lmao the delusions of a butthurt Alex fan
Official scorecard and sherdogs scoring had Izzy winning round 1.
Go watch round 2 again... very even up until the finishing sequence. Thats was the most impactful Alex had been the whole fight... but alas... it was just Izzy baiting him

Lmao, how can we get a 3rd when Alex has aleady ran off to 205. He was never as good. All his luck has run out. And his other advantage - his massive size - is starting to bite him in the ass as he can't make the weight cut.

If Alex is as good as you think he is... surely surely he can come back down to 185 and work his way back to a title shot - you know... like virtually every other fighter would have to?

Or you think he needs more charity with another rushed title shot? lmao
And don't compare to Izzy getting the rematch right away - thats the privilege you get from being the champ and having defended the belt a bunch of times... and being super active. 2 things which Alex can't and won't do

Who else is there at 185 that wouldn't also be a rematch? Pereira beat him less than 12 months ago and finished him.
The only reason Izzy was up is that the guy that outstruck everyone else decided to wrestle.

Izzy was losing their second fight until the knockout. It's actually an interesting trilogy. The only reason nobody in Izzy's camp wants it is that they know he loses more times than he wins.

I personally want Whittaker to get another shot, but Izzy won't take that fight either.

But we've been over this before, your IQ and hence your place in life means you can only assess tings at the most basic level. So to you your understanding is limited to purely the result. But on sherdog, given most posters have single digit IQ's, your'e in good company.

Reality was Izzy was always better, always had Alex in trouble first and Alex only escaped via the luck of the bell or the refs charity. As I said pre fight, take that away and Alex is KO'd cold with no one to save him.

And that's exactly what happened.

Izzy will be fighting Rob next, and long as Rob gets past Dricus.

lmao the delusion of thinking the most active champ in the companies history... who ducks no one... who has beaten all the top 5 in the division (some twice), is scared of anyone.

Adasanya had more title fights than pereira had total fights. and was only a narrow betting favorite. -135 is not a huge favorite at all. It’s a slight favorite.

The line being so close should speak volumes with a champ as dominant as adasanya to a brand new guy in the sport who is 35.
as we have never seen anything like that.

It’s like adasanya being a slight favorite against a bo nickel. You wouldn’t see odds so close like the second fight

for perspective
adasanya was a-240 favorite against Jan.
-275 against Whitaker in the rematch
-380 against cannonoer
-250 vs vitorri
-200 for pereira 1

you can't make this stuff up lmao

So now he's just a "brand new guy to the sport who is 35"

what about him being a 2x glory kickboxing champ with 3 wins over Izzy already?

You're not trolling?

We have 4 fights with both parties being subject to the same rules and circumstances within the fight.
Izzy got finished 2x and beaten by decision. No amount of reaching and changes of circumstances can change the fact that Izzy needed 4 tries to get a win over Pereira.

Izzy knows that, his coach knows that and that's why they are calling for everyone but Alex to settle the trilogy in MMA.
If Izzy wasn't concerned about losing he would call for that rematch, smash him again and then actually have some reason to post every single day about a guy he has lost 3 x against. He talked so much crap Pereira isn't so set on going to 205 anymore.

These are the perfect circumstances for a trilogy. Rivals thru 2 diff sports with the one who came up short the 1st 3 times finally winning. Whoever wins the next takes the edge in this respective sport. I understand Alex was fast tracked, but the victory justified it and cemented that he’s a part of the top tier (regardless of not being the most well rounded just like Izzy). Finish the trilogy and see who has the edge in MMA, then bring on the wolves….

All true unfortunately, because I like Rob

Some "tings" are just plain embarrassing when insulting others IQ.
