Alex Pereira Rooting for Israel to Win vs DDP

I think we are all rooting for Israel to beat DDP.
I was really worried that Adesanya vs DDP would turn into another Ferguson/Khabib.

No, I am not. I want Dricus to win especially after the whole 'African' drama drunk Adesanya made in the ring with Dricus ('I manifested this' and stupid sh*t like '26 and me'. Guys does not even know the number of chromosomes). Adesanya puts a fake humble attitude when he loses, but a different story when he wins. I hate Adesanya's attitude and especially when he wins, there are very few who can match his arrogance when he is flying high.

Yeah say what you want about izzy but he SAVED the middle weight division,
im dreading once he leaves. the only reason i tune in the middle weight is to see strickland get flatlined,
bobby knuckles would have been cool in 2009 for me but now hes too Boring personality wise for me to care, DDP aside from izzy has no purpose,
his style is ugly, Khamzat is really the only one aside from strickland where love em or hate em i want to see what happens.
paulo is funny but not dependable....etc etc

izzy by all means could of went into that ring and sucker punched DDP and pulled out a shank
and izzy would still be in the right. nobody whose educated or well studied would be surprised if izzy had that reaction.
Fighter or No fighter theres just some lines you dont cross PERIOD. and thats that.

other than that you are free to think however you like about izzy.

I get that some are annoyed by the hype train bums and the fair weather fans but honestly I don't understand how you can hate this guy.

I mean shit the guy took his belt and has it on display in the same Restaurant of his friend, he was eating at when he was not even Glory Champ yet. Down to earth and doesn't need to stroke his ego.

I like DDP but he would get sent to the realm of shadows.

Totally concur.

The awkward, shelled-up, unathletic DDP would get absolutely knocked TF out by Pereira.
Same with Whittaker, and (as already proven), same with Strickland.

It would be a total mismatch.

Izzy is the only guy with the standup skills requisite to compete with Pereira — and Izzy has lost 3 out of 4 so far, two buy KO.

Neither DDP, Strickland, or Whittaker has the skills to avoid getting KTFO by Pereira.
Whether it happened in the first round, or last round, all three getting KTFO by Alex is a foregone conclusion.

Alex is just saying that because his father put him to bed the last time they fought and he doesn't want to be a bad boy and get put to bed early again

Is that why Izzy ducked the 3rd fight and Alex wanted it and called him out multiple times? Izzy made excuses the moment anyone asked and ducked worse than anyone. He knows he got away with one and next time chances are he gets beaten for a 4th time. I don't say fighters are scared often in the fight game, but this is a clear case where Izzy is scared.

Yup.

Unless one of these dudes has some great wrestling and grappling I’m not aware of where they can not only get a takedown but actually control the opponent for long periods on the ground, they’re gonna get lit up in the standup.

Ankalaev could potentially be difficult for Alex, but the rest of the guys you mentioned are all badly outclassed on the feet, and don’t really have a reliable plan B.

All Pereira had to do was go fight a top ranked MW and earn a rematch. He opted not to do it. One win over Dricus and boom, rematch.

Izzy can't stop Pereira from fighting him again if he earned the rematch and everyone knows this if they sat back for one millisecond and thought about it lol.

But why would Alex get an immediate rematch when he never defended even one time, and Izzy won 5 of 7 rounds against him?

Just beat Whittaker/DDP/Vettori ect to get the rematch.

I would say because there are no rules or restrictions on when or why a rematch should happen. No one looks at how many rounds anyone has won either. The argument for it is that it's a great rivalry, going back to Glory and in MMA, and they're 1-1. And it was a very lucrative fight for both.

It was very clear Izzy avoided the rematch cause he knew very good chance he loses. He made a bunch of excuses after the fight and ended it "This guys is a real m##her##cker to deal with, fawk that"

Ankalaev isn't a finisher though. Has primitive finishing skills. (Was himself finished by Paul Craig.)

I don't see any world where Ankalaev finishes Alex. At best, spends 1 to 2 rounds 'holding him down" ... after which Alex gets up and absolutely murders him on the feet.

That ugly sheepherder gets KO'd, IMO.

He knows his black magic won’t work on the white Kang

I don't believe that was not the case. Izzy said that he should go down and fight some other guys and work his way up. It was very clear Izzy wanted nothing to do with Alex at that moment at 185. His entire legacy was at risk in a third fight. In the press conference he said "This guys is a real m##her##cker to deal with, fawk that", that's a pretty clear idea Izzy didn't want the fight.

But I do think that Izzy would fight Alex at 205, he said that last summer if Alex won the LHW title. There is far less for Izzy to lose at 205.

I think if Izzy beats DDP, which I think he will and hope he does. I think they may do this fight at 205. It makes all the sense in the world.
