Media Alex Pereira Fires @ DDP: "He's Just TOO SMALL"

He's not MW GOAT but if he beats Khamzat...
He's undoubtedly becomes #2 all time.
His career resume so far is:
Rob, strickland x2, Izzy, and Khamzat, Till, Brunson.

That's an all time line and potential GOAT calls if he goes up gets the 205 title and defends.

What is all of this GOAT ("All-Time Great") bullshit being talked about ... for a Middleweight who's barely held the title for one year, and has title defenses over 2x failures in their last bouts?

Dricus du Plessis is not even in the same sentence as other Middleweight Greats at this point.

Dricus is a solid fighter, who beat an average fighter in Strickland to win the title, beat a declining fighter, in Adesanya, and then beat the same average fighter again as a defense.

This is NOT the stuff of which "greatness" even deserves mention.

Boring AF, and pitiful in comparison to other middleweights, is more like it.

khalil isn't smaller than ddp, he is built like a gorilla with his huge back and chest muscles. They are around the same height(6 foot) Khalil is unlikely to weigh less than ddp on fight night considering his build

Khalil is way shorter than 6 foot. No way is he 6 foot. Look at his face to face with Alex. Look at the face to face staredown of Dricus vs Adesanya (who is almost the same height as Poatan). Khalil is 5'10" or maybe, 5'11". Dricus is a solid 6'1" and barely a bit shorter than 6'4" Izzy with a wide stance.

See below for barefoot pictures

Izzy was 208 lbs in this fight and Dricus was around 213 - 215 lbs against Izzy. Again, Dricus submitted Izzy who knocked out and slept Poatan. It is nothing far fetched as Poatan makes it sound. It is only one class above. It is not like he is going up to heavyweight.

how does that solidify him as the GOAT? the GOAT of what? winning the LHW belt makes him the GOAT of MW? because beating 1 guy definitely doesn't make him the GOAT of LHW.

If he beats Khamzat and then adds more muscle up to 220+ lbs for light heavyweight and beats Poatan. He becomes the GOAT and that is at least what he is chasing.

Alex is 37.
I think people are forgetting that he’s closer to being done with fighting than being in his prime.
All the size queens are focused on weight and height. We really should be looking at age and mileage in this fight.

DDP is a young (31) hungry dawg, who is constant being underestimated. I see him beating Pereira if they ever fight.

(L-R) Opponents Alex Pereira of Brazil and Khalil Rountree Jr. face off prior to the UFC light heavyweight championship fight during the UFC 307 ev...

Khalil doesn't look shorter than 6 foot here since he isn't more than 4 inches shorter than 6'4 alex, and we also know ddp would look short next to alex because he is the same height as strickland who looks like this facing off with alex
Sean Strickland and Alex Pereira
Michael Bisping on why Alex Pereira cornering at UFC 312 a bad idea

Khalil is no more than 5'10" - 5'11". That is a bigger difference than 4 inches. Khalil has to really crank his neck up to look at Alex.

Again look at these pictures barefoot. No shoes or heel advantage of one over the other

Lol thats what ddps girl said to him

Super dumb he was a mw like 2 years ago and got koed. Clearly they are in the same realm of size. Alex barely beat Izzy the first time and got shadow realmed the 2nd time. Alex is awesome but he isn't going to win 10 in a row. His style and honestly skills aren't that overwhelming

DDP should think better of this. Alex is absolutely the worst matchup for him.
Dricus doesn't give a shit man, he's not going to avoid anyone the simple fact this guy took on Whittaker BEFORE getting a title shot and was glad too should put a hard measure. He was confident he could beat Whittaker.

Dricus is going to think He can take down Peirera and sub him for sure. He's also going to think he beats alex on volume. He might not be right but he's going to think it.

he had to fight whittaker to get a title shot, it's not like he had the option of getting a titleshot without fighting rob since his best win was brunson coming off a ko loss prior

Till and Brunson?

Replace them with wins over Costa and Caio and then #2 MW all time talk can begin

Yeah, he should watch out what he wishes for.

DDP would be an undersized light heavyweight. He fought at welterweight earlier in his career - despite putting on a lot of muscle since then, he does not have the frame of your modern light heavyweight.

This fight only makes sense in a world were both guys have cleared out the immediate contenders in both divisions, and we might be there in a few fights.

Alex is aging out and due to drop in performance any day now. The size gap will be less of a factor the longer this takes to book. It would be fun an interesting to watch if it ever does happen.

We would learn a lot about fight IQ here, if DDP stands with him, he gets dummied for sure. I'm a fan of both, and would rather this fight not happen tbh. We have guys in both divisions worthy of shots at the respective belts
