Walker has a tiny head......that's why his chin and ability to take a shot is not the best to say the least.

While many expect Walker to move up to HW in the near future..

Here is what will happen

He will beat Adessanya then go up and challenge for the LHW belt and likely lose that fight later this year. He will then fight another MW after the LHW loss and lose that MW fight most likely to any top contender who will out grapple him. Following those 2 back to back losses he will make a move to LHW and will be rich having cashed in on being a MW champion for a year and a half by this time (Mid 2024 is probably when he will have his 2nd MW title defense). At the current rate his 1st Title Defense will come in late Summer and then he will surely eye a LHW belt chance the UFC will give him with the hope that he may become a double champ and if not oh well good cash day. The LHW fight happens by year end. Then he takes off time and hopes to defend the MW belt a 2nd time next summer

There is a truth to it in some degree. Hence weight classes and studies on cranium size and the fact that to KO someone you need to rattle their brain. Logically the heavier you are with more force you can inflict the more you an rattle their head then if you weighed 95lbs... Now of course this is why LHW and HW are equalizer divisions because humans have not evolved to have skulls that can sustain the power that larger people can throw or even medium sized men with force. This is why we saw Fedor KO 350lb men 7 foot giants and we saw many open weight fights of 200lb men or 185lb men KOing much much heavier taller men. However we rarely ever saw small below 170lb men in open weight managing to beat the +220lbers.

Alex is a bit of a freak when it comes to weight cutting. He held the Glory middleweight (187lb) and light heavyweight (209lb) belts simultaneously and never really looked any different in either division despite weighing pretty much the max for either class. He is a pretty intriguing fighter.

I attended Pereira’s last kickboxing fight (LHW) vs Artem Vakhitov in September 2021. He looked huge in there, even looked bigger than Vakhitov imo

Maybe because Vakhitov is shorter than Pereira and has less muscle mass?
There are WWs in UFC who look bigger than Vakhitov...

I wonder what it's like to have an extended conversation with Schaub.

There must be lasting mental trauma that throws you off for the next couple of days.

Lots of fighters have failed moving up a class too.
F. Keven Lee
Rockhold
RDA
Gustafsson
BJ Penn

just to name a few off the top of my head
RDA fought for an interim WW title and Penn won the WW title. not sure why they are here.

*posts two guys the same sIze

"guys he's dwarfing him here!"

The size of ur skull tends to be coupled with your frame size so yes it is true to some degree.
Because a big skull usually means a bigger neck.
The neck is what stops the brain from being rattled.
Skull size has allot to do with shape, not soo much density.
So basically you cant look at someone and determine their durability based on their skull size alone.

royce gracie was 170 small frame and took huge shots.

I wouldn’t say he is dwarfing him here. They look about the same size to me with Pereira having a bigger head which I can relate to.

I would like to see Pereira at 205 though. I think it’s in need of more talent anyway.
