If you kill yourself to make weight, sure you weigh more on fight night but often, it’s not beneficial to performance. That’s why so many guys do better when they go up a weight class. If your logic was right, they’d get crushed but they don’t. Lots of top guys have fought a class smaller before. I honestly have a hard time believing Alex wouldn’t be even more dangerous at LHW. Look at how much better rumble was at LHW. Generally guys dropping classes doesn’t work out either. It’s a dumb concept of guys who cannot grasp it’s not all black and white.
If two guys can make the same weight, they’re the same weight class. There’s always going to be some small size variations but it’s nowhere near what the “weight bully” retards claim. If that was the case, divisions would be ruled by giants but they’re not. Most champions are average for their division and it’s always been this way. It’s the same reason with a few exceptions, most guys who cut to make HW are not championship material. You can only go so far without it hurting you.
Weight bullies don’t exist but if you insist on using that term, use it for guys who can’t make weight like Till, Khamzat or rumble. It’s a stupid term used to discredit guys for no reason based on nothing.
