Of course it does. Every knockdown is devastating to a fighters career. It cracks a chin. Makes the brain instinctually turn off faster the next time.

On the contrary, all those who sparred Alex, kickboxers, boxers, mma fighters always praised him as an elite fighter who is very crafty.

Striking never was an issue, grappling was. From many clips where Alex was seen grappling by good grapplers, his back was taken many times into the rear clinch, he got takedown also many times, and appeared to struggle to get back to his feet.
