News Alex had a knee injury during camp for the Jan fight and only had surgery in December after beating Jiri the 1st time

That's crazy if true as he might of been gifted the Jan win. Alex is awesome and so is Jan, I know Jan is older and just had two shoulder surgeries but I hope he keeps fighting as he is the only besides Izzy to give Alex a close fight. (I am actually in the minority and think Jan won but it does not really matter)

Jan was his first fight @ LHW, in elevation too. It was his worst performance so far @ LHW but turns out he had a knee injury. He also lost the 1st round against Jiri and had issues in that fight while also having the knee injury. After the surgery he feels as good as ever which is SCARY for the division. As we saw in the Jiri rematch he had a flawless performance Jiri had 0 success so it gives credibility to claim he was injured for their 1st bout.

"I want to fight all the time"

That's our boy right there.

Knee and Elbow surgeries are SO MUCH easier to recover from than Shoulder or Hip surgeries. (Worlds apart in my experience).

Spinal/Neck surgery is usually game over for athletes.

Alex is the man! LHW is the best thing he ever did.

It's what we expected from Jon at HW. Skills aside, we expected Jon to embrace and run towards HW. Just like Alex did to LHW.

Major difference in those two, Alex has always been a man.

Alex is a man with full confidence in himself to fight the best.
How is it an excuse? He won both fights and is saying that he had success despite having an injury.
BAM !

Jones fought the most dangerous striker the ufc has ever seen in his first HW fight. How is that not confidence?

Full credit for Jon's first fight. l had (and then lost any) respect for Jon when he had in a full camp and was too chickenshit to face Chael Sonnen on very short notice.

Jon's cowardice doing that was disgusting, totally unworthy of a "champion".

No GOAT Would Have Refused That Fight & Hid From Defending His "Belt".

The difference is that Alex is actually built like a LHW and probably should have been there all along. Jones definitely belongs at LHW, not HW.

there is no true "belong" anywhere if dude never missed weight. Alex makes the exact same case as Jones as he also never missed weight.
