Austrian prospect Aleksandar Rakic (9-1 MMA, 1-0 UFC, 26 years old) faces former heavyweight Justin Ledet (9-0 MMA, 3-0 UFC, 29 years old) in Ledet's first fight at 205 lbs.

Great fight between 2 light heavyweight prospects, should be a good one if Rakic can keep it standing, he's 6'5 and knows how to fight rangy, Ledet has a good reach (203cm) and great boxing tho.

PS: With Ledet going down to 205, someone will take his spot at UFC's heavyweight rankings, probably Justin Willis (2-0 UFC), maybe Travis Browne ( )

Ledet will jab him out and eek out a decision.

I could go a hamburgo right now.

from 244 in his last fight, going down to 205, interesting

Ledet's boxing is interesting compared to alotof the division.

It just feels weird to have a HW prospect that has sometimes been apathetic towards finishing his opponent despite outclassing them(vs Anyu, vs Sherman).

Edit: Oh he's dropping down to LHW. Well, that's a division that needs prospects arguably more than HW.

I think he realized he could use his octagon time to get experience and there was no need to take risks in order to get a finish when he could just outbox them, Anyu was on PEDs and popped after the fight (more resistance) and Sherman is a tough motherfucker, both were taking some heavy shots but refused to give up and fought back to the end..

I'm not that sure about LHW being worse than HW when it comes to prospects:
- LHW: Johnson, Reyes, Rakic, Ledet, Kerim Edilov, Cutelaba (will be back soon), Craig, Ankalaev, Rodriguez
- HW: Tuivasa, Willis, Sosnovskiy, Bhullar, Golm, Spitz, Wieczorek, Goltsov (not confirmed)

WE NEED MORE HEAVYWEIGHTS, FOR FUCKS SAKE UFC

They gave Ledet that #15 ranking at HW after removing Cain, and he repays them by dropping down?

Any of the fat heavyweights could do this, but they enjoy eating like pigs

Justin Ledet's hair is the follicle version of Elkins' The Damage tattoo. The world is a worse place than ever before with those two monstrosities

This Rakic dude looks very TST, and also a bit crazy.

He's probably not that good, but I go with him because of the looks anyway.

Aleksandar is from Austria just like Francis is from France. Aleksandar looks like younger Nikita Krylov brother just hope he fight interesting like Nikita do

What TST means? And well, he's ok, has a pretty good striking but lacks volume and accuracy, he's only 26 so it's definitely a name to keep a eye on

He was born in Austria and fights out of Vienna, so isn't the same thing.

I can understand that strategy, it just seems like one more dangerous at HW keeping a guy in a fight with the power in that division.

As far as the LHW/HW prospects, you have a point on the numbers. I'm approaching more from the LHW top 10 being top down worse. Also LHW prospects have been getting derailed lately while HW has had more prospects panningout.

Either way, I agree with more HW prospects there is, the better.

Ledet fought a few times at 205lbs before, in fact I thought he was a better prospect there than at HW and never really understood why he moved up in the first place to be honest. Pleased to see him back at 205, this is an excellent fight. Ledet is boring though, really. Good boxing, but not entertaining.

These two should be beating up people like Villante and Alvey not fighting each other right now.
