Aldo vs Dillashaw...who you got?

Hmmm. Tough fight to predict. Both fighters are all-time greats. I’ll go with Aldo, because I don’t think TJ has the type of volume that Font and Holloway offer. Also, his knees are too shopworn to implement a wrestling-oriented game plan. What Aldo is doing at 135 is truly amazing, I doubt we’ll ever see this again. He’s 35 years old, a shell of himself, and able to wrack up top five wins in a weightclass were competitors are past their shelf life at ~30. It’s been a real treat to witness.

I think aldo has a very good chance of beating tj. Leg kicks could reignite dillashaw injury and aldo is on fire with his tactics overall in these matches

Could go either way. Aldo does have issues with mobile fast paced strikers. It limits his output to power counters and jabs. He only uses his leg kicks and body shots if the target takes a breather or remains stationary. If TJ stays moving like he used to then he can win this, assuming his chin holds up because at some point Aldo will test it.

Both of these guys are at the age where they could hit a sudden decline physically as well.

It's honestly a toss up, and I'd probably make a live bet when/if it happens.

TJ does not have a speed advantage. Aldo, even with his fight mileage, is one of the most explosive fighters in the world

Wtf are you watching? Aldo is stuck in the mud slow . All he has is power advantage cutting so much weight his cheek has a crease in it I’ve never seen on a healthy human being. Tj with busted knees still twice as fast and styles on him.

I'm going with Aldo. TJ is going to be coming off a major injury and a huge gap in between fights. TJ would have a major problem dealing with Aldo's power for the first 3 rounds.

Aldo by unanimous decision, he is way too accurate and slick for Dillasnake.. sure Dillasnake might be able to grab him and hold him to waste some time away at certain points but won't be enough and Aldo will outland him

Font didn't seem to have much for Aldo. He had some success at what I think DIllashaw can do to Aldo. Pressure and pace.

In the Sandhagen fight TJ's volume wasn't the same as earlier, attacks more calculated and mixing in wrestling. The wrestling taxes cardio, it would serve TJ late in the fight. TJ's style is suited to win on points, but in exchanges I give Aldo the edge. It would mostly be a stand-up fight and I give Aldo the doing damage part in that one.

Problem is that TJ probably won't take that fight as he is next in line for the belt.
So Aldo would just have to wait, but he'r running out of time too.
