Wanted to see him at 155 for years. Might not be champ or fight for the strap. But would be some exciting match-ups.

I believe he´s gonna wait and see if Edgar beats Max to make that kind of decision. If Edgar is the champion, Aldo is 2 fights away from that TS.

doesn't want to fight conor. only thing I can think of. he was talking about going up to light weight to fight pettis before and again heard mention of it around the mcgregor fight. He loses, and he stays at FW. then loses his belt again and still stays to rematch ricardo lamas.
What gives?

Then he has to fight max again and then what happens? he'd better win the FW belt the 3rd time from edgar and retire if that's the case.

Yea, he was also champion at FW the entire time he was in the UFC until Dec 2015. He certainly wasn't going to vacate his FW belt and go to LW then.
I think he'll go up to LW now. He's not getting another shot at Max, so he's left to just fight young killers like Choi, Ortega etc indefinitely with no endgame. Sort of like WB at WW.
Honestly i think if somehow Frankie beats Max, they're not going to give Aldo the shot anyway. They don't want to move the division backward.
I like his chances (especially in 3 round fights) against most of LW top 10. I hope he goes up.

I think that time as passed for 155 besides the height would be issue, he could get head kicked quick...
