Don't forget that I'm retired military!![]()
I would never, you old bastard! I actually have family down that way.
Well.
In the mountains. With no internet.
Don't forget that I'm retired military!![]()
I'm not trying to be rude, and I'm sure you just curious so my response will come off as such, but...
Who cares? It has no bearing on this case whatsoever.
Pleaded guilty to trying to take the TV and received a 5 year probation sentence.
thank God nobody takes me seriouslyThe media didn't make it about anything else, it was already about that when the media finally took notice of the case. What is it that you believe the media should have reported on but haven't and what did they report on that they should not have?I happen to think it does have bearing on the case but even if it didn't, it does have importance for correcting the bs narrative that was used to whip up claims of racism and white supremacists hunting down black joggers. Half the nation had the image of some young upstanding black man fresh out of college out for a jog and some white dudes not liking that he was jogging in their neighborhood, so shooting him down in cold blood in the street. And would you believe that there are still people among my acquaintances who haven't followed up on the events who still think that!
This was never ONLY about the purely legal case. It was the media who made it about something else. And that is a problem worth just as much of the public's attention as the case itself.
we dont negotiate with middlemen
I knew he was no Boy Scout. If I loitered around a place and someone called the police on me causing me to run, there’s no way in hell im gonna causally come back for a drink of water, esp if I had a record and happened to be a black man in a hick town. If I came back it better be important.Pleaded guilty to trying to take the TV and received a 5 year probation sentence.
I knew he was no Boy Scout. He kept coming back for a reason. “Never stole anything” cannot be proven because it’s a negative, esp now that’s he’s dead. You can assign all the wonderful ‘never done it’ attributes to a dead man and it will be meaningless
You cannot prove he did not steal the fishing gear and the gunWhat? The twisted logic here is pretty astonishing. If there is no evidence he stole anything from the place, which to this point there isn't. That means (legally speaking) he didn't steal anything from the place unless evidence emerges that he did. So your whole "you can't prove he didn't steal anything" bullshit is just that.
His history might give you suspicion. Do check the video. Don't botch an illegal attempted arrest and kill him in the process.Because the video was posted in this thread and I'm curious about the reasoning for the arrest, and the conduct of the police department definitely has a bearing on this case as it has a history of corruption and this could point to another instance of police misconduct.
Also from the other side if Arbery was stealing it would be evidence that he's a thief and give support to the theory that he was casing this house/neighborhood in the past. History of Arbery and the police department is relevant in my opinion.
Lol never stealing anything can be proven by the owner of the property saying nothing was stolen from the property....... I mean it's possible he stole from other properties in the neighborhood but it's possible anyone else that trespassed on that property did or anyone else that lived in the neighborhood.I knew he was no Boy Scout. If McMichaels recognized him as a shoplifter does that give him the right to attempt an armed arrest? Its still a talking point as well as a defense being used by the McMichaels as far as I'm aware, still relevant. Police misconduct is definitely relevant as well as the police and DA have passed blame onto each other over this case.
No.If McMichaels recognized him as a shoplifter does that give him the right to attempt an armed arrest?

And seems like the McMichaels should have used their contacts with the local pd to have the truck dusted for prints after the gun was stolen. If it was Arbery his prints are in the system already.
They had connections like Goodfellas. He's a good old boy, a friend of ours, there's no need to arrest we'll get this all swept under the rug.Lol nothing wrong with the good ol boys. I've been around plenty and never had an issue with any.
These dudes being good ol boys isn't the reason for this case, these dudes making stupid decisions is.
You can't arrest him for it either with no proof. You cannot prove he did not steal the fishing gear and the gun
Did you steal the fishing gear and gun?You cannot prove he did not steal the fishing gear and the gun
I think you're underestimating bud.
I think they needed a construction crew to build a room around Arbery so they can catch him trespassing in a "bounded area" to really put mud in the water when they murder him.
Did you steal the fishing gear and gun?
