After watching WrestleMania last night...

I like UFC without all the BS production. We are watching gladiators fight... I hate how Bellator does those cringe entrances.

WWE is entertainment, a show, a spectacle... it needs the theatrics.

No <{1-17}>

Wrestlemania production is second to none. No one does a live event like McMahon

I don't understand how a grown up person can watch wwe.
It's mind boggling.

kids like shiny and bright things

Men like sports and competition

i just cant do it. Its ok their stunts and falls I agree thats serious and skilled but when they hit one another with legs and fists and its so fake. I cant watch grown men do it and take it more then pure unadultarated pshychotic insanity. Whoever watches it is certified insane and belongs to on Jerry Springer show.

I also have no respect for any MMA guy like DC, Cain or others who wanna go there. It shows they are not true martial artists. They are prize fighters who are businessmen and dont belong in HOF

I realized how third world UFC's production is. Damn does Vince McMahon know how to put on a show. Where are the big screens? Fireworks? Grand fighter entrances? Guest announcers? Big laser show?

UFC 236 gonna be bland AF.

PRIDE had Pro Wrestling type entrances.

THE GOAT MMA ENTRANCE

Currently the Orgs that still do this are :

RIZIN

KSW

BELLATOR ( but on a smaller scale ).

Before MMA, yeah I am that old, before internet or 1000 channels on cable tv, watching wrestling was fun. Sure it was fake, but the guys all bled and were violent. You couldn't really find stuff like that anywhere else on television. And something that isn't as much known, way back a lot of the holds they did to "finish" a fight were actual real subs. They weren't applying them hard of course, but they were still acting them out.

Maybe because that's about all they got? I'll take real fights over stage theatrics every time.

This exactly. TS is basically saying something as dumb as "That Mayweather fight, it just wasn't as good as ANY of the first four Rocky movies...."

Easier to put on a production when its scripted.

I was a huge fan of the WWF as a kid and I do think MMA fighters should find a recognizable theme song like the Wrestlers had. A song that when you heard it you would get goosebumps knowing exactly who was coming (Demolition, Undertaker, Ultimate Warrior, Hulk) only Anderson (No Sunshine) ever really had that same feeling when his music would start, and Fedor before he changed it. Although Wanderlai, Randy, Hughes and Hendo also seemed to stick with the one song there whole career as well. Jones and Angry Jonny early in his career was good too though, he should have kept that. Same with Bisping and London Calling but as much as I love that song it was kind of weird with him being from Manchester.

It's a small thing but it huge at the same time.

Me too. When I was a kid pro wrestling was as close to MMA as you could get. Any parent who let their kids watch MMA in the early 90s was crazy.

Well then, she might actually have some fucking fans.

He’s actually worth like 7x more than Dana. But Dana =\= Vince.

Vince is more like the Fertita Brothers combined.
I didn't realise his net worth went up even higher, I was still under the impression he was at 1 billion.

Although Vince had an advantage over Dana, as he was born into wealth.

In fairness, those are all annual one-time events that are sold as such. A UFC card, even a PPV doesn't really guarantee a show that offers anything new except the occasional big fight, like a Connor vs Khabib
Thats the UFCs fault
