In my line of work people tell me their most intimate problems and disorders.

I have known a ton of men for whom porn has ruined sex and destroyed a mans perception of women in general, and also a ton of men for whom porn creates a hatred and denigration of women.

Ive seen lots of men that cant be attracted to real women or women in their league and this can persist even after they fall in love with said woman.

Ive seen as many cases of these men who cant walk around and interact with women without picturing them and seeing them in a pornographic way.

Ive seen many also who develop a real anger towards women and this is often directed at their partner.

And lets not fail to mention the vast number of men who ignore the pain it causes their partner to know they are viewing pornography, the insecurities this can create and the lack of intimacy and the form of intimacy they are available for and demand.







I see porn as a form of violence at this point. It causes nothing but a degradation of our sexual natures.

Honestly to me that feels like men looking for something else to blame for their own more deep seated issues. The problem for me is that the cult of machismo seems to just keep pushing to ever greater heights, maybe its linked to Reaganist capitalism becoming so dominant in our culture, maybe the net makes it worse? either way there seems to be this obcession with pushing a sociopathic teenage mind-set as a life philosophy that tends to lead to resentment against woman and a desire to belittle and control them, even if that's only via viewing porn.

Really the same material could be viewed by different people in very different fashions, to one person it might be just sharing in the eroticism of seeing a woman sexually aroused to another it might be "look at that dumb whore humiliating herself".

It probably doesn't help either that a lot of people still have a strong sense of guilt about having sexual desires at all let alone more fetishistic ones. As with a lot of addictions I think a cycle of shame is probably a big issue, the guys who gets drunk to escape the shame of drinking.
