I don't think I can remember a time someone needed to turn heel so bad. Maybe Cena which never happened but the kids love him so much and they made so much money off of him it didn't really matter. And Roman which they finally did a few years too late. They probably would have done it sooner but he got cancer and that fucked it all up. Better late than never though.

Cody should double down and act extra babyface for awhile longer. Just keep digging in and getting really good fuck off heat from the crowd, make people think he really won’t “turn” and then a couple months from now he needs to bury a white meat babyface that the crowd loves like Darby or Sammy.

Imagine if Cody plays super babyface for a couple more months then cheats to beat Sammy for the TNT title. That would be that good nuclear heat.

I actually think for maximum heat he needs to be working with Page. Become friends with him, have Page beg him to remove his old stip about not challenging for the title, because "Cody earned this".
