I watched the MJF / Punk promo again and all you guys that said Punk destroyed MJF must be on crack. MJF forced Punk out of his comfort zone, you could see it in his face. If it wasn't in Punk's hometown it'd be even more obvious. Punk's best zinger wasn't even really about MJF, it was to HHH.

I guess it goes down to personal preference. I think MJF landed more cheap pop lines and Punk went into things more personal, which I prefer. I think part of it was also by design that Punk looked better too. MJF would react and change his facial expressions to everything Punk said, while Punk stayed the same pretty much the whole time. That made it look like Punk was getting the better of him. Very well crafted segment there and it's crazy how good MJF is at 25.

I thought MJF won the war of words as well. MJF is brutal on the mic.

MJF was almost exclusively focused on tearing CM Punk down and getting inside his head while Punk was split between verbally battling MJF and talking up Chicago.

Heel and face word battle dynamic in full effect.

Man I love reading those comments. You can always tell who are the huge WWE fans that only watched Jim to hate on AEW and now all they can do is say he sold out. Hilarious zero self-awareness.
