After a quite frustrating ppv I thought AEW needed to deliver big tonight. They did. And possibly then some.

6 man was good. Caster's rap was great. Bowens even in wheelchair is great. And dare I say that I am coming around to the Ass Boys.

Sign in the crowd: JUNGLE BOY BE MY JUNGLE MAN <{dayum}>

Tanahashi vs Punk? Seems interesting. Still on the fence with FD overall though.

MJF. The man is untouchable. If people don't get it by now, they never will. Dunno where they're going with it (that's the fun part), but there is the potential for an all timer story, and that's following MJF making Wardlow! An unbelievable talent. Gonna watch this one again and again. Probably stuff I missed first time around.

Great to see Miro back. Looked great. PLEASE STAY HEALTHY FOR THE LOVE OF GOD STAY HEALTHY.

Jericho needs a haircut again. He should definitely lose there.

The 10 man was surprisingly good! A rare treat to see Christian wrestle. Darby shone. I hope JB eating the pin actually leads to something.

Athena cannot be the person to beat Jade. Early days yet, but unless she is remarkably talented in some area I don't see why somebody with no name value should beat somebody as over as Jade. MJF's words about signing WWE people comes to mind here.

JD whatshisname??? Thought they'd have something better for Wardlow. There is no need to slow play things with the big man now. The iron is hot - strike. Low point of the show. No idea where this lawsuit stuff is going.

Women's tag was good. They actually started the match quickly as well. 'Bout time whoever lays the women's matches out got a goddamn clue. Ruby needs to lose that No Future kick thing. Never looks good.

Main event was very good. Popped for The Culk! Vince Vaughn, no so much.

Match right after MJF's promo?

WWE's Rusev Vs. John Morrison

<{outtahere}>

Not a fan of worked shoots at all, but I'll definitely give it a chance to see how this plays out. I just really hope they don't lean in to the "what you're watching is scripted" shit. I hope they also stop with the "ex-WWE" guy shit. They run the risk of having babyfaces that have potential to be stars for you, end up catching strays and getting villainized solely for choosing not to be unemployed. Plus 3 of the 4 biggest stars that helped launch the company were Chris Jericho, Jon Moxley, and Cody Rhodes, the company exists because of "ex-WWE" guys and MJF was able to make his name by being in programs with those 3. Crying about "ex-WWE" guys on TV could be a slippery slope.

Chuck Taylor of all people dropped a logic bomb on Twitter last night after MJF said he only hits grand slams. Chuck said "You can only hit a grand slam if 3 people get on base before you". If Chuckie T is destroying your logic that quick, how am I going to be empathetic about MJF "carrying this company" when asking for more money?

I think a lot of it comes down to who they put him up against. Punk had Cena, does MJF have Punk? If so then Punk will pick up on that type of stuff so easily and use it to tear him down.

Could easily see Punk saying something like "You called this All Friends Wrestling? Well you only got in due to being buddies with Cody. You say you're expected to hit Grand Slams? Well that only works if people get on base before you. You think you'd be paid more if you were EX-WWE? Well maybe you would be if they didn't reject you twice already."

Punk's insufferable enough as it is, I'd rather have Christian do something like this.. Hell, even Big $how.

Why does this guy gotta be the way he is? I want to like this tag team so much, but they gotta kill it by being insufferable emo cry babies.

I bet his dad went for cigarettes.

He's addicted to that social media dopamine.

Punk and FTR get along so well because of the insufferable, emo, crybaby characteristic they all share.

Not the least bit surprising that a no-hoper like Chuck Taylor is nitpicking one of the best promos in AEW history.
