I think we have different definition of mid? For me it just means a middling show. Not great, not bad. Can have good matches, but if nothing stands out, it is just middling.

I wonder how much of this is caused because people take a scale of 10 and treat it like school.

In reality a 5 should be mediocre, and 7 should be good. But people keep thinking a 7 is mediocre and a 5 is garbage.
