Just looked at cagematch and Miro had 36 matches in 4 1/2 years in AEW

Wonder how much money he fleeced Tony Khan for in that time, dirtsheets rumored he was making 7 figures a year when he signed an extension in 2022.

Guy probably made a minimum of a million dollars for every 9 matches, which is six figures per match.

He was solid too when he was champ, they really could have made a new star with whoever beat him but instead they used him to try and force another Guevera push. I know he had other issues outside of wrestling but still feels like a waste.

TK was obsessed with booking him with weaknesses and vulnerabilities, just gotta let a monster be a monster sometimes.

Who knows how much the shit in the dirtsheets were true, but if any of it is, it seems like he had a massive ego and didn't want to lose much. The only reason he even dropped the TNT Title to Sammy when he did was because he was injured. (Although props to him, because he did come back early and work injured against Danielson a couple months later, which further injured him and made him be gone again for several months, he probably didn't have to do that favor, but did cause apparently him and Danielson are homies).

I remember the story of him turning down being in the final 2 of a battle royal because apparently getting thrown out and coming in 2nd place to former World Champion Hangman Page didn't work for him, brother
