AEW AEW CXLIV: Tranquilo

Big Tone booking for the sickos and the roster working for the sickos might not be a great idea anymore. Might be time to slow it the fuck down and save some shit for PPV. Imagine how dope their already great PPV's would be if we didn't already see most of the crazy shit twice a week.

Tony Khan at random episodes of taped Collisions with half his roster beat the fuck up including one of his biggest stars having to get spinal fusion recently at 32 years old still be like:

Either his hatred of the elite goes beyond wrestling or he’s embellishing how much he actually dislikes them for views.

His entire podcast is a work and the fans that listen to it who think they're smart fans are some of the biggest fans around.

Cornette is an old school carny.

Most old talking head podcasters are saying what gets them views, not what they actually think. That is why they're mostly a waste of time unless they're talking about old stuff.

Just another "special" dynamite.

Last week was Dynamite 6

This week is Dynamite Title Tuesday that for some reason is not main evented with a title match
I don't really get it as they'll hemorage viewers in that last half hour. I think they're hoping NXT/TNA fans turn over when that is over but I don't think anyone picking that show over AEW even cares about AEW at all and vice versa.

And next week is a 3 hour deal.

That it because they're basically splitting Collision between an hour after Dynamite and an hour before the PPV. Makes more sense but 3 hours is way too much for a weekly wrestling show. It was too much for Nitro, its too much for Raw and its too much for Dynamite.

Yup. Trios title might as well not exist. They are smartly using the women's title to boost Collision, women's tag titles don't exist yet and are already seemingly forgotten, Okada was in a tag match against the tag champs to earn a shot against the tag champs, or for one of them to earn a shot at his title.

I think that covered it.
They would definitely be better having a soft roster split with certain feuds and belts mostly sticking to one show. It would make things a little more focued and help share the tv time out better. They can bleed in to each other and it doesn't have to be anything firm, but I really think it would help.

Jurassic Express theory from reddit:

Ever since Jurassic Express reunited, I've felt something was off. I feel that last night's match all but confirmed my suspicions: Jurassic Express is not okay.

In the lead up to the freshly reunited JE, we saw vignettes of a what appears to be Jack in a dingy room with Luchasaurus on an operating table. He's shocking him and cutting him just like Dr Frankenstein reviving his monster. Then, we see Jack stand before the Young Bucks in his crucifix pose until Luchasaurus shows up. They hit the Jungle Life theme and everyone is happy, hands in the air like they just don't care.

Last night we saw JE in their first match. It featured Luchasaurus doing all the work, Jack distracting the ref, and Jack bossing Luchasaurus around. They hit their finisher and Jack stares at the camera with the smirk of someone who has a secret. Then they play the music and everyone cheered and threw beach balls.

If you know the story of Dr Frankenstein, it's ultimately about the hubris of a man thinking he can bend the laws of nature and death to his will. Dr. Frankenstein is not a hero, he's a villain who fucks with forces he never should have. If Jack Perry is supposed to be a good person, why show these scenes of him doing some really greasy shit to Luchasaurus? Why is he trying to cheat? Why is he yelling at Luchasaurus? Why is he smirking? Was this just simply a half baked idea like "idk, creepy is cool." I don't think this is the case, all of this is too intentional. It feels off because Jack Perry is still a villain.

Nothing has changed for Jack. He's still carrying knifes like a freak, he's still hitting the crucifix pose, he's still cheating. THE ONLY DIFFERENCE IS THE MUSIC AND THAT'S INTENTIONAL. Jack Perry has found a way through our love of Luchasaurus and Jurassic Express to get cheered again without doing anything to earn it. He hasn't shown any signs of remorse or that he has changed, he's only bent Luchasaurus to his will and hit us with the sweet nostalgia.

I think over the next few months we're going to see more and more that Jack is a villain, that he's controlling Luchasaurus (kind of a theme with him) and he's manipulating us, the audience, to cheer him. The ultimate redemption arc of Luchasaurus is him learning he doesn't need a partner, or a stable, or a dad, or a friend; he's a fucking monster and can stand on his own. To do that, he needs to break free of others control once and for all. He needs to kill his master and Jack needs penence for his evil deeds. Jurassic Express is NOT okay.

The problem with that is that at the end of the day it's still Luchasaurus.

So what’s this shit with some social media goober that was just fired for being involved in an affair having a trios match with SAP?

I saw that story last night. Some popular Youtube channel called The Try Guys fired one of the members Ned Fulmer a few years ago for cheating on his wife and banging a staff member. Guess the guy disappeared for awhile and came back recently doing a podcast. Apparently his entire shtick for years on The Try Guys was being a wholesome devoted husband and father that loved his wife <lmao>

Guess Jacksonville is his home town. Guy isn't even popular anymore so people are really confused why AEW even brought him in. All of the headlines I see are things like "Disgraced Youtuber makes AEW debut".

Might be the biggest headscratcher for a guest appearance AEW has ever done.

This is Bubba The Lovesponge in TNA all over again.

Sexichero/Bandido from Arena Mexico was also on the ROH show.

Saree/Windsor was decent.

Wait are people upset that AEW gave a guy a one off appearance just because the dude cheated on his wife? Lmao that dude is an angel by wrestling standards if that's the worst thing he's done
