AEW AEW CXIX: the shockmaster simps for Anna Jay

WWE scooped up Ethan Page fast, also sounds like Jake Hager decided not to re-up with AEW and is a free agent.

Looks like Ethan Page ended up in NXT. Seems like a good place for him to rebuild himself after kind of fading away in AEW.
I know many didn't think he was anything special but I thought he had potential and bad luck. Got stuck with ATT and made it work, got stuck carrying Scorpio Sky on the mic while SS held the belt which probably should have went to Page, got stuck on Dark/Elevation and made Matt Hardy fun. His mic work will take him places over there.

Seriously though, what the fuck is Tony Khan's obsession with Eliminators the last few months? Also people who are on losing streaks always seem to be in title Eliminators. Rocky himself just lost a title Eliminator to Roddy last month and lost a shot at the FTW title like 2 weeks ago and has never won a singles match in AEW, hell it's been almost a year since he won a match in New Japan and that was a tag match lol yet he's in an Eliminator for the World Championship

It is funny because there were always certain terms that WWE used that would drive the fans nuts, and that was part of AEW's appeal. It didn't feel so, i dunno, vernacular. It felt like yeah this is how people actually speak.

Remember when the Bucks absurdly made fun of how the wrestlers watch television backstage? Now all the wrestlers actually DO watch the monitor backstage from that goofy angle that everybody made fun of WWE for doing.

It's the things like that that I just feel has made AEW lose its identity. In so many ways they've become the thing that they mocked

Rocky Romero is on tv lately more than anyone sometimes twice a week, it's crazy how we hear wrestler A and B are at home because they have nothing for them but he's getting matches and title eliminators every week.

It's funny how all of this is aligning with the recently hiring of all the WWE backstage people that worked for WWE in those really shitty years between 2016-2022.

AEW's new COO Kosha Irby came from WWE.

AEW's new Vice President of Content Development, which is Tony Khan's #2 in creative, Jen Pepperman was just a WWE creative team member during some of their worst ever "creative", then brought to AEW and turned into an executive lol

AEW fired their long time director, who was their "Kevin Dunn" in the truck and hired Michael Mansbury who was WWE's VIce President of Television Production to take over. Michael Mansbury was apparently going to take over in WWE for Kevin Dunn until AEW gave him the bag.

They have people from one of the worst periods of WWE ever, when WWE was tarping off 3/4 of arenas running AEW now, so it's funny that AEW are now the ones tarping off 3/4 of arenas <lmao>

Double J is my top choice but I’d accept JungleBoi as TNT champion, just for the sole reason of having Anna Jay as his manager in a Maria Kanellis role

She needs to be on TV more and would kill it

Arn Anderson also chose not to accept an extension, so him, Mark Henry and Jake Hager so far. Danhausen also goes out of his way to block out any AEW images from his pictures so I'm thinking he's just awaiting til his contract expires.

If they do a tournament for the TNT Title I guarantee Rocky Romero is in it lol
