Mox needs a belt... Is NWA still a thing?

Oh hey, it's a Mox match with blood.

Shocker.

watching Dynamite on delay, just started the show. Never seen AEW before other than a clip here or there on youtube.

Signed up to a new sports package, so now I have both AEW and WWE included.

not gonna lie, this is a tough watch, now watching this at 2x speed to get through it.

so Edge just smashed a guy's head with a chair in front of his mother and he's the face? lol. this fucking show.

There will be some really good matches (like really, really good) in AEW as there's a lot of top tier talent in the company... but you'll then see that Tony Khan likes to book some of the show like he's playing with his action figures.

...because in Tony Khan's mind, he is.

I see talent, but also a lack of direction and quality control. Most of them don't sell anything and just get a full roundhouse to the face, sell it as a mere stun for half a second and then counterattack. Or they get powerbombed, sell it for 5 seconds as a stun, and then continue on like nothing happened and don't sell the back or sell fatigue. Not a battle of attrition, but rather a series of independent segments within a match strung together without continuity.

The promos and the matches were a bit self-indulgent, the whole thing, whether that's the wrestlers or the promoter or both. The promos were also really weird, both in and out of the ring, very nerdy and non-sensical.

The overall build of the show didn't flow, which is the promoter's fault. Nothing really connected to the main event, rather everything was about far-off angles - Joe v MJF, masked guy v MJF, Christian v whoever, bunch of Adam Cole segments when he isn't doing anything due to injury, Jericho vs some guys and then nothing. Didn't feel much immediacy on the day. Moxley's match felt tacked on.

One of the main reasons to tune in is this guy.

Kenny Omega consistently has some of the best matches of any given show, week, month, and year.

I see the action figures analogy a lot, but that ain't it...

He's not playing with action figures, he's playing TEW2016. I know he is because I book my games the exact same way that he does.

I fell asleep Irving the women’s match, woke up to wild thing, turned it off and went to bed. I’ll watch mox and Briscoe later today.

I believe when Mox asked for Wild Thing, Tony accidentally got the Troggs version for that first go. Imagine an alternate universe where he got the Tone Loc version of Wild Thing

The first 3 CC matches were solid..I hope AEW has some upsets. Can't have guys lose every match or win everyone. I would've had Briscoe beat Mox last night. I'd also have Garcia beat Claudio because he hasn't had a big win in some time. Andrade should also beat Danielson.
