I don't know if I would have named my new title the Continental Championship when across the street the INTERcontinental has been one of the most prestigious titles in the business for generations. It's like admitting that you're sucking hind tit and you're OK with it.

MJF vs. Jay White is currently the lowest rated AEW PPV Main Event on Cagematch in company history.

Glad I ain't the only one who thought it was full of too much stupid pointless bullshit.

It would have been fine if it wasn't for the Adam Cole replacing him part imo. That really didn't make any sense at all

Good thing though is that Hangman v Swerve is rated the second highest AEW match ever

Tried to get my friend who is a massive WWE mark to watch Hangman v Swerve, and he couldn't stomach it <45>

What is ranked higher?! It was the best one I’ve ever seen!

MJFs creative direction has went downhill fast and I'm interested in nothing with Adam Cole in it. He's just not my type.

Hangman really won me over against Swerve. Just keep him away from The Bucks and The Dark Order.

I didn't like anything about the leg shit. Dude had to sell his leg for a half an hour, which took away from the match.......and then his leg would magically be fine for a spot.....then he'd sell it.....then it would magically be fine for a spot......then he'd sell it.

When he hit the kip up after the kangeroo kick, then started selling his leg again it was corny.

Also didn't like how Jay White was booked. I was getting flashbacks of all of the Gedo fuckery in New Japan. Jay White matches were starting to get go away heat with me in New Japan and they booked this one exactly the same. Guy is so damn talented, but for whatever reason all of his big matches have to be filled with so much extra bullshit. Jay White is probably dead in the water now with Swerve's rise and Ospreay coming in, guy is gonna be the odd man out in the main event scene, hope he can eventually be a dope International Champion or something at least.

Meh I dunno if I agree about him probably being dead in the water. He was undefeated before this and all he has to do is cut one promo and he's right back where he needs to be.

The match was definitely corny, but it was supposed to be. It's that type of wrestling. Just wish the story made more sense

As soon as the amberlampse came out with MJF I turned Full Gear off, looks like that was a good move.

I haven't been watching AEW since around March.
Went to a live show in my town and then sort of fell off the wagon.
I see tidbits here and there.
Regardless of who the Devil is or gets switched to be it kind of sucks that these stories can't just play out without being affected by the internet.
I know most people want all the inside scoop, behind the scenes dirt etc...
But I've always been in the mindset that I don't want to know.
It's why I don't watch previews of a movie if I already know that I want to see it.
Knowing all this stuff doesn't make watching it more enjoyable... it actually likely makes it worse.
But that is how wrestling (and the world) goes these days.

I'm just saying "dead in the water" as in being a World Champion any time soon. Guy is about to hit the back of the line on at least a 2 year reset. No shot he's still gonna be the guy with the line up of guys they have around.

He's young so it ain't like it hurts him. Might actually be beneficial for him to help elevate a different title or hover around the upper mid card in big feuds like Swerve recently.

If the World Championship PPV Main Event is supposed to be corny, they've lost the plot completely.
