Swerve's run with the belt was super flat for most of it, right when it gains momentum after he beat Ospreay it gets cut.

He had a 4 month run that was pretty wack for 3 months of it.

Honestly it would actually be a bad move to have him win the belt back at this point. Guy needs some rehabbing and to stay far away from the belt now.

That's usually the case with all Champs in AEW, the journey there is the real ride and then they tend to take the foot off the gas.

Still happy to see Swerve show what had to offer as a main eventer, hopefully guys like Jay White and Takeshita get a chance at a Swerve like resurgence.
