Television Adolescence on Netflix, new crime drama

bullshit this show is blatant propaganda
That's the thought I had as well. Perhaps the writing is good and even smart, but it seems like an agenda is still being pushed and I don't want to support this BS. This is coming from someone who is nearly half Native.

It's more just how rabid the racists are, it would become all about that instead of what they're trying to focus on, which is what's happening to our kids.

Also you want it to chime with the biggest audience and the vast majority of the audience is white. Making the center of it white makes it easier for the viewers to identify with.

This is some solid trolling right here

haven’t watched this yet, but i highly recommend Boiling Point. 2021 movie by the same director of Adolescence that also stars Stephen Graham.

apparently, there was a sequel released as a 4-episode BBC miniseries in 2023 that i’m just finding out about now

Can you imagine the outrage if that flip flop was reversed?

Clown world.
Come on now I'm sure if they made a movie following the lines of the Andrea Yates story but made her black there would be no outrage at all ........ nothing to see here buddeh

didnt they switch the races of the kid it is about?
It's Netflix, of course they did...

That said, I'm sure the show is indeed good. I just don't get why you do this.

Yeah I heard that as well

Was the victim in the show still a black girl?

Apparently according to Wiki (yeah, I know lol), the show was written by Stephen Graham, and he thought of the concept because of the recent stabbings lately in the UK involving children. It wasn't based on any particular case, but two cases were mentioned was the Elianne Andam and Ava White murders.

Take that for what it's worth.

Boiling Point gets so stressful it legit feels like your blood is vibrating. haven’t watched any of The Bear yet—you recommend it, yeah? now that s2 of Severance is finished, i’ll need to fill the stress/emotional roller coaster void left in its wake.

Yeah the bear is a great show but I was miserable throughout it. Some episodes I just had to stop because of all the yelling, and continue the episode later.
