Adesanya's grappling is terrible, he has no heart (analyzation)

Lmao keep spinning this to make Israel look better.

If the best you can say about his grappling is "its fine" or "decent", I seriously question a fighter's ability to win at an elite level.

Jan is an elite fighter, and Israel had no answer.

I'm complementary of Jan lmao

Israel has been winning at an elite level in his own weight class. He lost to a champion without putting on weight. He went up, he lost, he goes back to middleweight and probably keeps crushing contenders. There's no shame in giving it a shot and losing.

Lmao

His only "elite" win is Whittaker my man.

Costa is unproven, Yoel is a joureyman, and Silva was fucking semi retired.

Where are all these "elite" fighters my guy?

Adesanya's TD defense and grappling sucks. Being outweighed isn't a valid excuse when you're fighting the best in the world.

Did he not think to maybe sprawl here? Looks like he just gave up mentally. He's easily broken.

He's supposedly been training jiu jitsu but he looked clueless on his back. Didn't even try to get up. He just let Jan advance position and took punishment.

What Israel should have done:
if Israel was competent on the mat he would have initiated a stand up guard pass by cupping the back of his head and turning his hips. Jan gave him the opportunity and space to do this multiple times.

Adesanya is so bad at grappling. He just let Jan pass to half guard with little resistance. Look at where he's positioned his limbs here.

Boy. Sure is easy getting out from under a BJJ blackbelt. Particularly a bigger one, good thing you nailed it on the head!

Adesanya has no extensive BJJ, wrestling background. He will learn from this as he is the kind fighter that seeks to test himself and learn

these are really the worst kind of threads.

a kid is 20-0 as a professional. within 2 years of his ufc debut, he fights 8 times, and beats maybe not elite fighters but very good fighters in Brad Tavares, Martin Vettori, Derek Brunson, and an out of prime Silva. Then beats Gastelum. Then Whittaker, Then Romero, then Costa. Decides to make a jump up a weight class and fight a surging champion and loses.

Yes he got out grappled. it didnt look like he ever got into a zone and was comfortable on his feet. i think he ate a couple shots from Jans, and didnt like the power coming back his way. Jans waited till Izzy was moving forward and swinging harder and then time two gorgeous takedowns. used far superior grappling to smother Izzy and come away with a huge victory for himself.

the only thing your "analysis" has done, is downplay how good Jans is, and make a ridiculous statement in "Izzy's career can only go down from here"

pray tell, who is beating him right now at 185. where he is still champion. we have a champion who stays active, fights everyone the ufc has put in front of him, tries to challenge himself by moving up a weight class, stays humble in defeat...and you want to shit on him because he lost to an excellent champion who executed a wonderful game plan.
