His only options at MW are rematches, yet sherdog will still cry that he’s going for LHW title after 2 title defences

Unless you want rematches he doesn’t have many options. Might make the most sense moving up now.

I have no desire to see Whittaker get destroyed again. I don’t even think he wants the fight.

Verttori rematch has a bit of intrigue. Although he may need another win.
 
Yeah the full Top 10 is even bleaker for UFC middleweight. Chris Weidman, Uriah Hall and Derek Brunson are in the Top 10, come on.

No wonder Izzy is talking about light heavyweights now, middleweight has become shallow to him.
 
We always seem to run into this situation in the MW class.

Maybe its because of a shallow pool of top guys or maybe we just keep getting guys that are good at staying on top.

We're about to see the same thing happen at 155, if Islam can't work his way up the Rankings, I wouldn't say a shallow pool of talent, but more so one guy being THAT good to stay on top. Styles make fights, and there aren't many grapplers phasing Izzy anytime soon in the Top 10, so he'll continue to dominate people as the fights are going to be contested on the Feet.

Had Jack won, we'd be having a different conversation, but for now, just like at 155, the Top 10 is mostly Strikers, and the Champion happens to be one of the best Counter Strikers in the game. It's not gonna go well for people who don't try to wrestle Izzy which is why Marvin was able to make the fight as close as he was, he switched it up, and Izzy made some mistakes.
 
During Izzy's title run I chuckled as he proved doubters wrong.
 
Cutting Romero is the dumbest idea ever.

You could make an argument Adesanya didn't beat him, I hope he goes to Bellator and fight their best middleweights.
