ADCC 2019

Nogi has always been easier to come out of nowhere and in short order .... particularly at ADCC, where you can Orlando Sanchez your way to victory.
Definitely - started out at an mma gym years back and I could definitely see first hand how someone less technique can over come that with athleticism and conditioning (and playing the rule sets).

I think the whole belt system has to be revised.

having blue belts beating balck belts isnt right.

these blue belts have to compete vs blue belts in ibjjf tournaments, its ridiculous.

I dont get the logic. Why?

Lmao. Nah man, I think I we just need to be more realistic that belts represent experience and knowledge more than ability.

Also, rules. Nick Rodriguez didn’t out jiu jitsu anyone. He out collar tied them and got judges decisions based on aggression.

Lots of quick subs in absolute!

Hard to keep up!

Spriggs just choked dope to sleep.

Wtf!!!! This is rapid fire! Tonon heel hooks Najmi in like a minute!

Gordon got a quick tap. Tex got a quick tap.

It’s crazy no one has been winning by heel hooks the whole event then in less than 30 minutes we get I think 4 maybe 5 rapid heel hooks. Nuts.

I don’t think Buchecha is winning absolute this year. His match against Tex is going long. Everyone else is pretty fresh.

it should... a blue blet is someone whos just starting, yet you go to an ibjjf competition and you are facing someone whos been jiu jitsu for 10 years training 2 times a dya... and you, a normla human being whos sarted jiu jitsu in his 20s have been training for 2 years. Thats not fair.

So it’s buchecha and Tex

Aly/ Spriggs

Gaudio and Perez.

All really good matches. Much less

The belts are for gi and competition. It’s only an issue in joint comps and always will be with competitors transitioning from other grappling based sports. ADCC is good in the fact it’s merit based. You can earn your way in by beating people in the trials.

Just need to work out a way to limit some stalling but that’s part of the game.

Tonon against Gordon with Deblass coaching Tonon and Danaher coaching Gordon.

anyone know what happened to craig why is he not competting in the absolute?
