Wow. DDS Looking STRONG.

Taza gets taken out. Gordon and Tonon advance.

Nicky Ryan takes out the 2018 BB World Champ.

Nicky Rodriguez takes out the 2018 BB World Champ.

Rustam taken out :(.

I don't understand the scoring in the Nicky/Jamil match. I thought Jamil won.

I don't really watch submission grappling, but I have been getting back into it. Who should I watch out for? I know the DDS, of course. Who should I look out for? Leite, Lepri etc?

Wow. Kaynan takes out Yuri. Little too early to say in ADCC but if Kaynan wins this he might go down as one of the GOATs.

Jamil didn’t win any points and Nicky got points at the last second (not sure why) but it would’ve gone to OT not JD.

It was a damn good match. I feel like it should’ve gone to OT. But that was a solid takedown at the end. I’ll have to rewatch.

Your only dog in the race was unfortunately taken out by one of the 10th planet guys who apparently isn't even a full time grappler. I mean this with no disrespect - Rustam Chsiev is one of my favorite grapplers to watch. Really sad to see him go.

Hopefully mataleaos pops in here so we can get some educated people in here. Personally, I'm always a sucker for the people who have been grinding for a long time in the background but never had their day in the sun. For me that's some of the older guys like Josh Hinger and a lot of the Marcelo guys - Gianni Grippo, Matheus Diniz, and Jon Satava.

There's of course the modern prodigy Kaynan Duarte. Also there's everyone's hometown hero - Craig Jones.

Lepri looked super smart. Played guard for the first 5 minutes then played for points in the second half. Veteran move.

Nick Rodriguez is boring.

Bunch of fights have been collar tie slap feats and shitty wrestling. But overall I’ve enjoyed most matches.

Cyborg is looking pretty good in there.

Gaudio looks great. Really enjoy his style.

Tanquinho

Hinger

Craig Jones

Vinny Mag

And like you mentioned, the dds boys.

Chsiev is fun, but I remember him getting submitted with a nice triangle or armbar last year. If I am correct, Chsiev is definitely good, but not at the elite level, as in the top 3?

And Gordon gets back, gets 3 for the hooks. Then goes right back to body triangle after he gets the points. I don’t blame him. Body triangle is a better control. Gordon’s is just back packing Spriggs.

chokes Spriggs and makes it look easy.

Vinny gets takedown points over Puopolo. Wins by 2 points.

Gaudio and Barbosa is a collar tie fest that will likely go to OT and go to judges decision

I have just got over the wrestling worlds, so I am not expecting anything similar haha; although, I am expecting to see the arm-drag-kouchi gake combo haha. I don't even understand it..

I have the Craig Jones Down Under instructional - good set. What about Miyao?

Yea unfortunately not top 3. He is very good though - he does some crazy things to people who are elite. He also pretty much only gets tapped by other elite level dudes. Got triangled by Keenan Cornelius and armbarred last ADCC by Xande Ribeiro. Pretty amazing. Would love to see him match up with N. Rodriguez in another life time.

Never mind. Barbosa almost gots the td. One hook in while back backing with double unders

Damn. Puopolo is another dude whose been in the game for a while but never quite broke thru.

Miyao looked like miyao. Survived an early Caio style ankle lock. But it was overall an easy fight for him.

And never mind again. Barbosa and Gaudio has gone to OT and is a sweaty collar tie slap fest. Pretty disappointing. But adcc rules tends to cause these kinds of moments.

Considering how difficult everyone else’s fights have been, it really shows how good Gordon is that he’s just burning through guys without breaking a sweat.
