ADCC 2019

Well, a win is a win. Weight class + absolute after another incredible performance two years ago, regardless the Pena and Vinny matches I think it's safe to say Gordon is actually the best nogi grappler in the world.

Also very, very happy for Lachlan, what he did was truly incredible.

I thought previous to the buchecha match that Gordon was actually on another level, i don’t think so now. Doble gold is awesome, but he still doesn’t have a clear case over pena...

Fair enough.. hope they'll rematch soon and finally settle it. However 3 golds and a silver out of the last 2 Adcc editions makes the opinion itself at least legit imo.

Considering how young Gordon is in the sport, the fact that he’s only lost to like THE best of the best like 3 times...and also beaten THE beat of the best like 30 times....I gotta give props where props is due.

Barring a mental breakdown or injury, I can see him becoming goat. I don’t think anyone has done what he’s done in this short a period of time.

I mean, even our current goats have losses. Marcelo has lost to freaking Drysdale. Lmao.

I don’t care to admit it, although I know many hate the idea....Gordon May very well become goat one day. He’s well on his way. He’s done way better than his counterparts in much less time. I look forward to his future career.
 
More and more I want to see Gordon compete in the gi. Pans and Worlds at his level. I'm truly curious how he would do. It cant be THAT different especially how his nogi is so good. I mean who cares dont even use the gi in your grips, hes that good.

Just really curious. Imagine if he gets double gold in gi pan and world's like he did in nogi this year
 
Since Gordon stated he was going to go into the gi but then never did, I assume it was much more difficult for him then he expected. Hopefully he’ll give it another shot.

He more or less said straight up that he got smoked in the gi by Keenan to the point where he had to reevaluate his ability to win anything. His no-gi gripping strategies transfer fine, but he needed years of work on grip defense and counter-gripping strategies to be effective at the top level.

denying his skill is idiotic, but i don't hate his obnoxious ass any less just because he's the best.
 
Lachlan says he's proven you don't need to have a huge team, move overseas, use PEDs or train with weights (he doesn't), just train SMART.
