Documented case, was used in a command training PowerPoint:
During an inspection of his UPH (unaccompanied personnel housing..a step up from barracks life, but still subject to inspection by superiors) dude lived in filth (shit that could've been handled by basic housekeeping, dirty dishes in piles..leading to roaches, mold in used kitchenware), piles of unclean laundry, random large collection of fantasy swords and knives, lots of porn (no judgement here on pron stash), multiple bottles of urine and semen....

This is in a place dude has been told will and can be inspected.

which base?

I went to boot camp and nuclear power school in Orlando, Florida (to qualify for standing watch on a nuclear submarine) but that base is closed down now, and is a nice upscale neighborhood called “Baldwin Park”

this is all so crazy and quite frankly a little upsetting... it’s hitting close to home, even tho I now reside in eastern Washington

@A.C. bud... dude, i don’t know if I ever told you but I actually got out of the Navy a little bit early because I think they thought I might lose my shit and do something like this...

I have an honorable discharge, but I spent some time in the mental ward at the base hospital in Bangor (trident submarine base in Western Washington) prior to going home and becoming a civilian

Glad you guys are safe. I know I sound like a fossil but crazy how the internet connects us. We have a sherbro giving updates, working at Pearl Harbor during a lockdown scenario in real time as I sit here in New England.
