Yeah I liked it as a kid but don't think it's great. Fucking loved that poem though:Have you ever seen So I married An Axe Murderer?

What do the freaks not consider "-phobic"?I watched the ace venturas recently and loved both. Pet Detective is hilarious cause it would be considered "transphobic" today

Ferrell's run in the 2000's was great, but he didn't have the best batting average IMO. Carrey and Sandler were both on fire for the better part of a decade, with only a few notable duds.I can't think of anyone who has done better. LOL, most comedians careers don't stack up to that year for Carrey.
The only guy I can think of who came close didn't really come close because he didn't do it in a calendar year. Because when I think of comedic hot streaks 2000's Will Ferrell always immediately springs to mind. He was coming right off putting up tons of all-time classic sketches for SNL in the late 90's up until he left in 2002, but he did:
- Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back (2001)
- Zoolander (2001)
- Old School (2003)
- Elf (2003)
- Anchorman (2004)
- Starsky & Hutch (2004)
- Wedding Crashers (2005)
- The Producers (2005)
- Talladega Nights (2006)
- Stranger than Fiction (2006) ***not really a comedy, IMO, but a really cool movie***
- Step Brothers (2008)
- The Other Guys (2010)
Coincidentally, per this thread, he also had roles in two of the Austin Powers movies.
lol all that money enabled Carrey to transform himself into a modern day philosopher of sorts I guess.
zzzzzzzzzz
Perhaps being comedian/life of the party type is a way to cope with underlying existential issues. I'm no psychologist, but seems like some comedians fit the bill for that.
Oh, c'mon, certainly Sandler had one of the greatest historic runs, but Sandler's name is also as synonymous with duds as it is with classics. My list for Ferrell spans a calendar decade, and if we added in the duds, we'd have:Ferrell's run in the 2000's was great, but he didn't have the best batting average IMO. - Land of the Lost (2009)
- The Other Guys (2010)
That ain't bad.
Debatable, but tenable.Sandlers
Billy Madison, Bulletproof, Happy Gilmore, Wedding Singer, The Waterboy and Big Daddy, trump that list.
Old School and Wedding Crashers are great movies. The others mediocre or below average.

Talladega Nights was mediocre, IMO. Even Lumberg and John C Reilly couldn't salvage that one.
As far as Sandler...well, he may have been a dud-factory post-early 2000's or so. But from around '94-'02, his run was as good as any....
Air heads
Billy Madison
Happy Gilmore
Wedding Singer
Water boy
Big Daddy
Little Nicky
Mr Deeds
Similarly, Carrey had an epic run around the same time...
Ace Ventura
Mask
D&D
Batman Forever
Ace Ventura 2
Cable Guy
Liar Liar
Truman Show
Man on the Moon
Me Myself & Irene
I'm not a particular fan of Elf, but if anyone in here talk shits about Talladega Nights one more time, I'll fuck you up, Grandpa.Elf?
Get real.
Thats like some Little Nicky shit, which sucked by the way if I remember correctly.
Both of those lists are better than Ferrells.Talladega Nights was mediocre, IMO. Even Lumberg and John C Reilly couldn't salvage that one.

Maybe I need to watch it again.I'm not a particular fan of Elf, but if anyone in here talk shits about Talladega Nights one more time, I'll fuck you up, Grandpa.
C’mon dude, Elf was instant classic(due to the holiday association). People will still probably r watching it in 50 years. Both of those lists are better than Ferrells.
But I think Wedding Crashers and Old School are classics. But Elf is stupid. Anchorman and Step Bros are stupid besides a few jokes here and there.
Talladega nights? dumb
Semi-Pro is ok.
Zoolander is good, wouldnt really call that a Will Ferrell movie though.
I like Will, but when its too wacky its stupid. Like Austin Powers.
Almost that Monty Python goofy humor. Not a fan.
Love the Other Guys, perfect casting all around.Oh, c'mon, certainly Sandler had one of the greatest historic runs, but Sandler's name is also as synonymous with duds as it is with classics. My list for Ferrell spans a calendar decade, and if we added in the duds, we'd have:
