Just rewatched video and had to FF to the happy part.

Reminds me of when I went to the shelter to get a dog. Saw this sad little pup, spent some time with it, and continued on my way. A few days later, I was thinking about that dog so I went to adopt it. Worker said it was picked up. I hope so; but for some reason, maybe based on the way the dog looked and his body language, I think they put the dog down.

Next time I see a dog that catches my eye, I'm going to adopt on the spot.

I just don't get it. My dog is literally my best friend in the world. She just wants to be laid up next to me or play with me. Literally wants nothing more in this world than to have my attention.

What in the world would possess someone to torture something that loves you so much? It's some twisted shit.

With that said, here's my best friend. Italian bred Cane Corso. She's just under two years old.

She is literally a 100lb lap dog. She is an amazing guard dog. Going to be doing the Schutzhund Club soon for official training.

I adopted an abused dog once. It was a pain in the ass because he kept pooping and peeing in the house whenever he got scared. And he got scared constantly. Every little noise, every time you made a sudden movement, every time you stood up.

And you couldn't train him at all for the first year or so. It took almost 2 years before he'd even act like a semi normal dog.

I mean I'm glad I did it, but honestly I won't ever get an abused dog again. I've done my one good deed for this lifetime.

People need to realized how much more difficult it is owning an abused dog over a normal one. It's a huge commitment and takes a lot of the fun out of owning a dog. Again, not saying you shouldn't do it, but just know what you're signing up for.

Be very careful on which type of dog you adopt, theres a lot more to worry about than the dog shitting. People who adopt dangerous breeds many times are playing Russian roulette. It's nice that your taking in an abused animal but you better be serious about accepting responsibility of that dog either injuring or killing you, a family member, stranger..etc.
