I disagree with you here. Ed Lewis, just like fucking Toots Mondt were both a cancer to the wrestling industry in my opinion. The entire Gold Dust Trio and their shit style were an embarrassment and them being influential is a negative thing.Evan simply didn't do enough to belong on my list, not true of Ed Lewis an all time great.

Rickson Gracie weighed 185 and he'd stretch Edouard Carpentier and have him tapping for his life.
Put Rickson Gracie in a pro rasslin' ring with pro rasslin' rules meaning no rules and Carpentier would beat Gracie to a pulp.
Pro rasslin' has too many rules. Refs always in people's business. In Carpentier's day, they acted like a closed fist was an absolute sin.
Rickson would shatter that Frenchie dork's leg before he even knew the fight started.
Showing yourself to be a confirmed casual again.
Calling Evan Lewis a nobody ... i don't like it.Who cares, this is pro rasslin'
Ed Lewis was one of the first big draws while Evan was a nobody.

Talk to me about Robear Duranton, Samson Burke, Ox Anderson, Art "Boom Boom" Mahalik, oh yeah....ya can't.
El Desperado and the rest of Suzuki-gun would dust all of them dorks off in an
You mean apart from being undoubtedly the greatest heel of the 19th century after the Matsuda Sorakichi incident, innovating the stranglehold, being the first unified American Heavyweight Champion and holding the title for 8 years? Ed was a bum who stole his name and lost the title after a month.Go ahead sing his praises, tell me why he should be the most important E, go ahead.
Here is where ya ....ok man Ed Lewis it is.
Ox Anderson

Evan Lewis is arguably the greatest wrestler of the 19th century next to only William Muldoon himself.
Ox Anderson would catch a spinebuster from a REAL Anderson

During the 19th century? Yeah, easily. If you take timeframes completely out of the equation i'd say Gotch > Lewis > Hackenschmidt.Better than George Hackenschmidt and Frank Gotch, really?

Evan Lewis simply isn't on the same level as Ed Lewis, simply how it is.
Here ya go....
During his wrestling career, which spanned four decades, Lewis was a four-time World Heavyweight Wrestling Champion and overall recognised officially as a five-time world champion.
What disturbs me most about this statement is less that you don't seem to think very highly of Evan Lewis but rather that you apparently consider Ed Lewis an all-time great.Evan Lewis simply isn't on the same level as Ed Lewis, simply how it is.
