A very honest Johnny Hendricks interview post-fight that was unaired.

Damn. First time I feel sympathy for Hendricks in ages. Might have something to do with him actually not coming across as 100% delusional.

Martyr.

Honestly, he's being TOO hard on himself. It's like he knows the internet will come down on him and he overexaggerates his own criticism just to make up for it.

No, Johny, you're not an idiot. You just fought like one. That's why your fans are disappointed.

I'm a hendricks hater but real recognize real, brutally honest interview respect to him.

"I would give that a 40% effort" - Johny Hendricks

Thus, 40% Hendricks has reared his ugly head.

What happened to you Johny ..?
At least he takes it like a man..

"I didn't fight"
"Is that the guy who won the belt?"

Questioning himself. But he's right, it's good to be honest to you... the guy is just not in the game anymore

its like those razor close losses to gsp and that other dude has sapped his mental confidence or something along those line

Or made him lose interest in fighting, because he believes it all to be a bullshit popularity contest and not performance driven.

Cliffs
"That was so pathetic. I'm a work critic. I give that a D. I didn't throw... I didn't kick. I didn't fight.

I feel so bad for my coaches. I prepared the best I could.

I don't know. I need to decide if I want to fight. I love fighting.

I'm pissed off at myself. 40% effort.

I saw opportunities (sic)... didn't capitalize. I looked like shit.

I know I should have won. He did what he needed to do. He won.

Weightcut... we did what we thought we needed to do... we waited until the last moment... we sort of made a hiccup Wednesday... that Friday he misses by a fourth of a pound... okay, you give me a three pounds? Four pounds? There's a mistake. [had a tough time writing that]

These people talking trash about us (sic)... these are people who could lose a quarter of a pound themselves. Look in the mirror. These people are barking up the wrong tree. Say it to my face.

(Self doubt)

I will not be a gatekeeper."

I can never understand how a pro athlete can pile on so much weight between fights. Maybe if he looked after himself with more discipline he wouldnt have such bad weight cuts.

He was so hungry when trying to get that belt. Got it and thought that was it.

Wow. I like this interview.
Props to him, honest as fuck.

I heard tainted supplements give you fire back.
