It doesn't make sense to do a prequel. It would just be another Vietnam movie. We already have a ton of those.

What was cool about Rambo was the story of someone who'd already had enough of war, I don't want to see someone who hasn't been through the shit yet.

But if they're going to do it anyway, I hope the new actor doesn't try to emulate Stallone. Just embrace that a new actor is interpreting the character from the book and be done with it. Like James Bond.

The back story could be he felt legit discrimination against him in the 70s so he slowly transcend to a more "favorable" skin tone in the early 80s and the opening scene of First Blood. But man.. he would be in for a big surprise in the 2010s I guess.
