Satan's the bad guy. That's his job. God is supposed to be on our side. That's why people have a problem with Christianity: because your all powerful, loving God ain't doing shit to address all the pain and suffering in the world.

And don't even think about trotting out that Free Will crap. People do not choose, of their own Free Will, to be born in grinding, endless poverty, where they have to struggle every waking hour to get enough food and water to live one more day. People do not choose to be born blind, lame or retarded. Babies do not choose to die in the womb. Children do not choose to be violated, tortured and killed.

God could change all that in a heartbeat. He could wipe away all that tragedy and not effect Free Will one iota. He could give everyone the same basic start in life: health, enough food to eat and protection from evil men and women. You can still choose to do evil, but in the knowledge that it will have immediate and lethal consequences for you.

But God does none of that, Jack. He lets good people suffer and die, and evil people thrive. So why shouldn't we call Him on His Bullshit? Give me His powers and I'll do more good in a day than He has in the last 2,000 years.

2) Over the course of time, Tim realizes he is actually a woman in a man's body. He undergoes full sex change and is now Kim and legally a woman.
3) Tom stays loyal to Kim (ex-Tim) and proposes. The two get a regular hetero marriage. In addition, being Christians, they want to marry in a Church. Afterwards, they want to have lots of marital sex.

A man who has the appearance of a woman, is still not a woman. Sacramental Marriage is between man and woman. Therefore, again, this "marriage" could be neither valid nor licit.

For something to be a mortal sin, it requires full knowledge, and complete consent of the will. In Case B if as you have stated Tom is unaware of "Kim" being Tim, then he cannot be acting in full knowledge and with complete consent of the will to marry a man under the appearance of a woman. So no, in Case B as stated Tom would not be committing a sin subjectively. To directly answer the question is Tom still a sinner? We're all sinners, man. Every one of us.

This has been false for some time now. Most nations are overpopulated now. Only a few like Japan actually need a lot more people to have kids. There are quite a lot of people who marry never intending to have children. The definition of marriage solely for reproduction is outdated.

at first i thought rip was referencing a virginity check and i was shocked anywhere still did that. I do know that years ago (like 15-30 years ago) you have to take a blood test to make sure your weren't cousins or anything. Though I think that was only in KY, where that kind of stuff actually happened often enough to require such a test.

I got married back in November. No blood test required. I do think the blood test was tied to something with proving you aren't related or something but I think that was only in KY, not Ohio.

Churches are private institutions and don't have to marry anyone they don't want. Many won't marry straight couples until they have attended a certain amount of classes on what it means to be married in the church.

Essentially to ensure it is being taken seriously. Many will marry in the church for the church for the wrong reasons like "oh my mother always wanted me to have a big church sending". And they want to make sure you understand divorce is not taken lightly. If they feel you are going into your wedding or your church wedding half-ass they won't marry you.

No non-profit church has ever been forced to marry anyone. I doubt any attempts to change that will be successful but one never knows. But for now, there is nothing to compare these scenarios to. It would all be guesswork on potential future lawsuits.

no religion gets more poop hurled upon it save for Judaism than Christianity. this is a non arguable fact rage.

I see you and Bukowski's post and the anger and vitriol you two have towards Christianity is disheartening tbh. I don't know what made you two so angry towards Christianity all I'll say is only read what Jesus and Paul said for Christians to do and how to behave. any other example of out ward behavior from people that call themselves Christians MUST be taken with a grain of salt.

Christians are still people with all the pressure of a sensual environment and normal human failings to deal with. accepting Christ as your lord and savior does not make you a perfect moral agent after baptism, the holy spirit guides you internally and convits you of immoral acts in the conscious to the point where you know longer enjoy them.

I use to be a sex/porn addict by the grace of god and the internal guide of the holy spirit convicting me when I use to watch it I've been porn free for over five years now.
