A prime Cain would have lost to Ngannou

To me that seems like 50/50 fight. Prime Cain was hittable, KOed by JDS, but Francis cannot have good cardio.

With good strategy Cain and any good grinder has advantage. Cormier would beat Francis easier than Cain for example. Prime roided Jones the same, but not now.

But Ngannou may have his prime around now. Skill wise he is better, got some wrestling skills, but he cannot last long. 2 heavy rounds maximum.

Bro somehow managed to get taken down by French White Belt Cyril Freaking Gane and you’re telling me the great NCAA ASU powerhouse prime Cain wouldn’t have put a wrestling clinic on him?

You had one too many last night bro, sober up…

<28>
Cain would get ko'ed inside 60 seconds. Dude got chin checked like every fight. Ngannou ends Cain easily every time with that paper thin glass chin.

Are you high right now? He also stuffed Blaydes and Stipe. LMAO but somehow Ngannou stuffing a Cain takedown is inconceivable to you.

"No, it must be because Cain sucks now, not because the greatest heavyweight in the world is the greatest heavyweight in the world" <lol>

Do you even wrestle bro?

Blaydes was a JUCO entry level NCAA wrestler with laughable creds and same with Stipe who was a dual sport athlete at a small laughable wrestling program. This is the equivalent of comparing O’Malley’s BJJ creds to guys like Buchecha or Gordon Ryan LOL.

Blaydes couldn’t even take down Black Beast lmao, the guy who also scared Ngannou into a shell.

Either you hate Jones with a passion or you just need Grapple up bro… I can get you a discount promo to FloGrapling If you want lol.

<JonesLaugh>

Cain would beat him. Francis needs space to work and his knockout power goes away by the end of 2nd round.

I think DC smokes Francis. Francis can’t endure the grind for long.

Ngannou became Stipes wife in their Prime, bro doesn’t have a single scramble from his back in his arsenal or even basic knowledge on how to operate a semi functional guard lol.

To this day no one knows what was keeping Ngannou down in the first Stipe fight, he was just laying down with his legs wide open getting beat on lol.

He literally comically KO'ed Stipe in the rematch with ease. He learned his lesson and sent Stipe to the shadowrealm

Did Stipe even wake up yet? Lol

I have no issue with you picking prime Cain & Stipe over Ngannou.

But I just think it's funny how your reasoning is that Francis needs space for his power to work against Cain when we saw him KO Cain in a clinch with very little space.

Do your mother and step father happen to run a child day care in California??

A very childish reaction from a clearly old man who even used a day care reference in his attack.

Stipe is better in almost every way than Cain, who was a great fighter himself. Not a bad take at all.

If my memory serves me well. Has Ngannou faced against an adroit wrestler that wasn’t chinny? It seems silly to draw this conclusion right now since he has not.

Mods move di thread to Fantasy Matchups ting nuh UFC or #PowerSlap related Cain's retired Ngannou in di minor leagues all due respect (to Ngannou not TS)

It's surprising Cain didn't come back for another fight at some point.

He left at 36.

Injuries aside, I don't know that we really saw Cain "leave" his prime.

Sea Level Cain lost to Werdum but in the Browne fight, he looked the same as ever.

3 years between Travis and Francis is a long time, though.

I'd favor Francis.

He got Cain like no one else has and Frank was doing what he did to everyone at the time.

Exactly. The sole reason people claim he was washed during that fight is because he lost. Like literally every other fighter did who faced Ngannou during that period.
Or was he washed because he had like 3 fights in a decade and a myriad of injuries?

Very possible, but at the same time, Prime Cain is a rare sight, the man injured most of its career, then Prime Cain also relies on his cardio and being at sea level, or simply he prepared better for certain fights and worst for others, than happen to be at altitude, my money would be on Cain, Ngannou isnt that well rounded.

Dude.... Ngannou vs Cain was the exact illustration he does not need space to work.
He landed a perfect uppercut on Cain's chin while he had the head against his chest.

It depends on what version of these dudes shows up, they both fought more reckless or more calculated at different times of their career.

LMAO y'all haters need to stop bringing that fight up. He was traumatized after his first loss to Stipe and didn't throw anything during the Lewis fight. That is not representative of his talent whatsoever.

Actually, that is absolutely representative of someones 'talent' - because talent is more than just being able to throw a good punch. Its the intangibles, etc ... Look at Lesnar. He does not respond well to getting punched/hurt. Doesnt matter how big or strong he is. You'd be hard pressed to find a bigger Frank fan than me - but that fight was indicative of a fighter who was no responding well to having lost in a dominate way. He's improved a shit ton since then on that front, but people are never going to forget that.
