Social A poor workaholic = Loser.

As someone that works 37.5 hours per week and makes six figures...

TS = a goober.

I've known many people who are always busy with work, buried in the laptops, working side jobs and take no vacation time off. They like to brag they are workaholics but really have nothing to show for all their work. Not even a 6 figure income.

What I notice is they seem to have no social life. No friends or anything they do outside of "work".

I get it if people are busting their hump because they get a lot of wealth from working but those people who spend 60 plus hours a week, come in on their days off and make only 5 figures simply dont have anything better to do with their time.

The only workaholics I know make a decent living. There is a saying work smarter not harder. I assume the workaholics not crushing it are working harder and not smarter.

Many working class people need to work long hours in order to survive?

I know some people who clearly don't understand the meaning of "work smart, not hard." But that's how they are; they're not interested in being smart and some of them are a little dim mentally. They're not bothered by their lack of efficiency, so no reason to be bothered in their stead.

To each their own.

My family is rich, so I do what I want. lol

That said, I've never touched my trust funds. Art is my life and I work hard. I do not float by taking each day for granted.

Sadly, most rich friends I know are lazy as fuck and boring as fuck.

If you are putting in executive hours and still being paid like someone who clocks out after 40 hours then you are simply playing yourself.

I don't think anyone here is hating on those who hustle to make a great living

Salaries also can hide how little you are actually getting paid if you are putting in large amounts of hours.

If you are getting paid $50K a year but putting in 60 hour work weeks you are only making $16 an hour. I was making that rate with my college internship, and there are a lot of grocery store workers that make that sort of money as well or even better. If you are well into a career and are managing to essentially hover just above minimum wage while having corporate responsibilities then you are absolutely a clown for staying
$13.74 per hour assuming overtime wages.

I suppose everyone’s situation will be different. Some people might have kids or debt or whatever and need to make 50K vs 40k or whatever. Or they’re in a position where they stand to make a lot more like a meritocratic environment or startup.

For sure no one should be working ridiculous hours for no return though. Most employers will be very happy to keep such a bargain.

We are working long hours because we need the money stupid fuck.

Sounds like you were probably born with a silver spoon up your ass.

People dont generally work 60 hours for sub 6 figures because they want too.

Um, if they have no social life and no friends and I am assuming you don't work with them all ... then.... how do you know/known them?

Exactly bro. The world needs ditch diggers too.

No complaining in 20 years when those people have actually built something for themselves and you haven't. No one is going to want to hear "why didn't life work out the way I wanted?" from the guy who thought hardwork was overrated.

Usually they dont build anything in my experience

Work smart, not hard

Hard work builds nothing? Ice cold take, bud.

Worked plenty on construction sites where guys bust ass but earn 2k a month for 40 years.

While smart guys become rich thanks to some great idea without ever sweating

If TS makes less than 7 figures then you're just fucking pontificating and trying to act better than people that you look down on by only make 1k more than them.

Get fucking bent and go play in traffic.

I agree. Being a workaholic is for boring subservient losers. Hobbies, friends and fun? Nah, rather spending my time doing something boring to generate the feelings of importance my life is devoid of.

Imagine spending tons of time working mostly for someone else's benefit. Cuck behavior.

37 hour work week from home crew checking in.

Sure. It's not their hard work that is holding them back.

Hard work does not guarantee success and nothing I said suggested it does.
