A great video on facing Khabib, the before and after experience...

The K is silent
Oh he took the K down, I guess the letter H does look sturdy
You’re both off.
Khabib is just he wrote his name in English because English doesn’t have the letters to represent the sound in the beginning.

He pronounces his name in proper Arabic form. a lot of the kafkazi/dagi/uzbek/etc names are known Arabic names, sometimes with a russian twist.

This is how you pronounce the letter properly, its not k nor h:

Great video, thanks TS

This part was from a different fight, that clip they used of Conor was after UFC 196 when Diaz subbed him. He was giving credit to Nate.

He never really gave much credit to Khabib, he only gave him props for the knockdown from what I remember.

Fake news.
Everything on youtube is true.
Quit misinforming the masses bruh.

Forgive my ignorance but because of your post I just made this potential connection...

Now I grew up around a large arabic speaking community, the way Khabib pronounced his name sounded exactly like how the guys I grew up with would pronounce "Habib" as in, Habibi. The K/H sound would be pronounced by rolling the back of your throat. Is this essentially the same name/pronunciation?

I know theres different accents and dialects of Arabic so I'm sort of doubting my theory

I missed Jones fight when he was in his prime
It's amazing how much he changed from the early UFC until recently. He was one of the flashiest fighters I have ever seen, wild, risk taking, incredible throws and takedowns, spinning shit galore, a finishing machine and then he became very safe. He still won, but the way he did it wildly different.

How many others retired 29-0 at the top of their game?
This video is about before and after experience. As to your question no other MMA fighters have retired once they hit their prime, because it's cowardly

Doubling down on that shit take I see. So none? Got it.

How many athletes ever have retired the second they hit their prime?

Barry Sanders, Andrew Luck, Michael Jordan (the first time), Rocky Marciano, etc. There are plenty of examples of dominant athletes retiring in their prime. Khabib was one of them, and hats off to him for following through on a promise to his family.
