Opinion A girl received a Draco style firearm as a Christmas gift from her parents. Thoughts?

White guys with ponytails like to collect broad swords, kitanas and all manner of gaudy daggers and knives

America in general has a strange, terrifying and fascinating relationship with guns, this "peacocking with the gun in my hand" kinda thing will never not seem kinda goofy and childish to me personally.
But I'm used to it growing up here my whole life, I've seen every permutation of gun owner/afficionado. You get used to it lol

I dont mind..

Not a fan of Dracos in 7.62, but I like the 9mm version.

I have a Century Arms full-size AK variant and it is so much fun to shoot.

Just looking at the thread title I knew what race the family would be. Those Draco guns are terrible and have no accuracy but a certain group loves them. I know a guy that bought one from a pawn shop down here and it is just crap and sprays all over but he thought it was badass so to each their own.

If the thread title was girl received AR from parents or SBR from parents we could have guessed the race as well.

Can't say I've shot 7.62x39 semi-auto from a 6-8" barrel, but in addition to accuracy issues, I assume it's pretty obnoxious?
Draco's are just crap all around, they are the hey look at me type of gun. No accuracy and they walk all over on you. The only use is if you throw a 60 round mag on it and want to spray all over the place.

It's a cartoon gun. Some of my friends have cartoon guns and they are entertaining, but I wouldn't bet my life on one.

My ba110 is fun to shoot at the range but that's the extent of its practicality

Had it been girl with obvious hunting/sporting cultural cues, and the choice of gun to match - business as usual. But as this seems to only have more "urban" uses, I am gonna judge, even though different culture.
Gonna have to go with this.

Bro, I had a friend who had a rickety ass hi point rifle he was weirdly proud of.
And when he eventually sold it, he traded it for a S&W 500, it's a preposterous gun that would maybe be good for a tarantino character, or going on an unsanctioned elephant hunt.

His taste in cars, his hayabusa bike...
He was far from cringe incarnate with most things.
With guns...
He couldn't help but be a fashion over function try hard type when it came to guns.

I have some cringe guns. But I'm eccentric.

Yes, the video appears to be real and not staged or AI-generated.
  • It's a genuine user-recorded clip from Christmas (likely 2025 or 2024 reposted virally in late dec 2025)

Question for the parents would you ever get your kid a gift like this that girl looks under or around 18 idk lol

That crappy gun? Hell no.

I dont have a problem with teaching a young lady to shoot rifles (or pistols) but that gun isnt a self defense weapon unless you're being attacked by a mob.
