A defense of McGregor's Jiujitsu - Luke Thomas

I think Conor's BJJ is better than what he showed in the 2nd round. He was already exhausted and on Queer Street when he 'shot' for that double leg.

I'm not saying he's really good, and it's clear Nate is light years ahead of him, but I do think he's better.

Brown belt though...

Mendes did whatever he wanted in Conor's guard.

That sweep in rd 1 looked as if Nate just let him have it.

like how high level belt let newbies work on their jits during rolling session.

Hype job. Conor tore his own ACL trying to pass the crushing half guard of blue belt Max Holloway.

Conor is at best a blue belt. His 'sweep' if Nate was a drag down while Nate was punching, then Nate pulled him into guard. Conor would have been inverted crab swept but he grabbed the cage to prevent it.

Luke Thomas is a goof. Conor's ground game is suspect.
Legitimate sweep. Doesn't mean his jiu jitsu isnt a weak point.

WTF, He was facing a Diaz brother, of course he was going to get submitted on the ground.

This was a good recap. Congrats to Luke Thomas.
