A confused Mackenzie Dern speaking about her weight issue

139lbs on fight week, hahaha, 23lbs water cut for a 115lb fighter? wtf!! What a lil fat ass, not that hard to stay lean folks & she's a pro fighter at that, smh.
 
Her "in shape" fight week is almost 140? Well, she does walk around above 150 so I guess that's about right. THICK
 
Shows how little of a fuck she gives if she planned on dropping 22 lbs in a matter of days
 
No one would even be calling her out and giving her shit...or "fat shaming" or whatever excuse people want to use...if she would just fight at 125 or even 135 for that Matter.....she's built like a bantamweight

Instead she shows up to fight at strawweight with lovehandles spilling out of her underwear and missing weight by a country mile

Don't get me wrong, I love a thick girl to grab on to....but this ain't plumperpass....she's supposed to be a professional athlete(several of the prerequisites being coming to the fight in well conditioned physical shape and making fight weight)

I don't give a damn how her body looks and what it weighs in her off time....but it's time to do work and have some semblance of professionalism when you have a fight scheduled smh

Response: I couldn't really be bothered cutting the weight. There has literally been nothing said that doesn't just boil down to I didn't exercise enough despite it being literally the only prerequisite condition of my contract.

I don't want to keep talking about her voice as it's TMZ bullshit gossip but switching in and out of accents like that is very suspect. Trying to dig herself back out of this fake accent

Unfortunately if you refuse an overweight opponent or last minute change of opponent, the ufc will hold it against you. That's what makes it so shady that Dern made no attempt to make weight. She knew Cooper would still have to take the fight no matter how much she was over.

I really dislike how there's a negative stigma attached to turning down fights when someone's opponent misses weight.

I think ABC probably faced heavy backstage pressure to take the fight.
