91-1

MMA is a very young sport comparatively speaking...

Saying "majority of fighters were nobodies" could literally apply to almost every major champion in every major combat sport.

Let's take boxing for example:

These champion boxers had long, decorated careers with many professional fights, and they each held world titles in one or more weight divisions.

You're not really making a point. No fighter can come onto the scene with a long list of well known names on their record.

You have to start from somewhere and when you're from a tiny mountain village, you're guaranteed to be fighting "no name" fighters.
MMA is not boxing. Protecting fighters on the way up is lame.

Half the people in this image fought in the UFC. Like Pratt and menjivar are comparable to the nobodies in Russia with 0 wins that khabib fought when he had like 10 wins lol
Yea but that's a result of geography and socioeconomics.

GSP grew up in Canada... way easier for a Canadian to cross the border and fight competition in America coming up than it is for a young kid to traverse the world and cross oceans to fight in the US.

Being poor in Canada is not the same as being poor in Dagestan. Access is way more restricted in the East.

You don't have to be sorry lol

I didn't take it personally.

I'm just saying a truth as well.

In reality, no fight is easy. Takes effort, no matter the opponent.

These guys are from a tiny village, of course they faced nobodies on their way up.
The funny thing is that Islam lost to guy these dudes would consider a "nobody". If islam beat Adriano Martins, would he get credit for it? Of course not. Remaining undefeated in mma is incredibly hard.

They don't need my "protection" LOL

Also, I made a list of MMA fighters too.

It's the same premise for both combat sports, however.

Pratt and Menjivar are comparable wins to several wins Khabib had in the ufc

I love GSP but you can say the same thing about him too...

This is the list right until he got into the UFC...

No, you can't. GSP fought Ivan Menjivar in his very first fight, and Pete Spratt in his fifth, then he signed to the UFC.

Khabib was fighting an 0-2 guy when he was 15-0.

They were protected by their management. That is what protected means.

They were not fighting the best available opponents. They were fighting random guys to build their record.

TKO Major League MMA is a Canadian mixed martial arts promotion established in 2000, it was originally broadcast on RDS and later on Fight Network. Formerly known as the Universal Combat Challenge (UCC), it was the first mixed martial arts promotion in Canada, before eventually rebranding to TKO Major League MMA in 2003.

Khabib was like 12 during this time.

MMA was far ahead back in those days in the West than the East. How in the world is a 12 (or teenager) supposed to come over here and fight well known fighters?

Your premise makes no sense lol

What in the world are you talking about?

I'm not demanding Khabib fight well known opponents early in his career. Just an appropriate level of opponents. His pre-ufc record is ridiculously padded.

If you don't see anything wrong with a guy who is 14-0 fighting a guy who is 0-2, then I don't know what to tell you.

Sorry, Khabib should have been in the UFC in 2007 when he was 17 years old.

As a matter of fact, why didn't Umar and Usman join the UFC at the same time when they were in Middle School?

And that lazy bum Makhachev , dont get me started
How dare they join the UFC when there is more than 5 fighters in each division!???!

Bruh, dont ever say you are "swimming in Guru's slipstream", are you the mutant fish from the Simpsons?
I didnt say I am swimming in Guru's slipstream.

I said Ares Black is.
