Opinion 83,000 VA Employees Slated to Be Fired This Year by Musk's DOGE

You don't deserve my time but think about this, you want people to believe two guys who've managed multi billion dollars businesses and who've apparently created inconceivable wealth and progress for humanity are incompetent? Their judgement decision-making must be flawed and your perspective (or the tvs perspective) is somehow more valid? Ok... Let's leave it at that, I know what you'll want to say but keep it to yourself, it's trite.
For the umpteenth time, competence in one field does not ensure competence in another. Musk isn't even jumping from private to public, he's also changing industries.

You know I'm not firing these people right? How many more should be hired if eliminating some isn't a viable move because certainly more people hired must mean more efficiency right?
I am aware but you're openly vocalizing your support for this, so I'm trying to understand what is justifying that support. You could see something I don't maybe you read something I have not.

I don't think they need to hire more. The last 2 years they've been doing much better with the staff they have. I think they need to swap some of their admin staff for other positions. Rework the system they use to managing info. Maybe trim some of the non medical or advocate staff but no where near as drastically

Success in business doesn't mean success in public office. These are apples and oranges. This is also just a deflection. The subject is VA staffing. I don't care what administration or person is responsible for this, it's bad policy. I knew you would avoid defending the policy because it's bad policy and you know it. If you care to discuss the subject of the thread and not you're strawman arguments then feel free to respond. You've been pressed on the policy and all you can come up with is "Reduce waste and increase effectiveness" which isn't even a policy.

He also didnt show competence in any industry, previously. Unless you count investing and then procuring billions in Governnent contracts without delivering much an industry.

It's just politically coded language because people who are enjoying what Musk is doing dont WANT to own the real World effects on people they've vehemently declared their support of. Most are too chicken-sh*t to just say what the truth is. The truth is they dont, and never have given a sh*t what Veterans have to go through. They only used Veteran status as a political cudgel, as something to appeal to morality with. But you'll never get this guy to admit it because he'll always hide behind the vague "more efficiency" declaration. Advocating for actual support of, and employment of Veterans via the Federal Government sounds too much like socialism, or as the cons and libertarians like to call it "being dependent on the Government." I forget which Senator or Representative was recently questioned about this, but his reply was: "I cant think of anyone more capable of finding employment than a Military Veteran." Which is coded language for "f*ck 'em."

The irony being his social ignorance as Veterans have had a notorious History of private sector discrimination in hiring. Dude didnt know that because he doesn't give a sh*t. They use Veterans the same as they use the unborn. You're a monster if you show any general disregard for their lives, but you're also a monster if you want them provided for past the point of their political usefulness.

I seriously can't believe any of it. The amount of waste is just staggering. And it's literally all for nothing. None of the wars these guys fought in in the past 80 years were necessary.
Ok but that’s not their fault. That burden belongs to the politicians that were voted in by the people. They didn’t make the decision to declare war and send people there.

I’m going to leave the WW2 part out of this because woof that’s a heavy cloud of stupid.

you chose to enlist. I know you wanna be a freeloader, drug abuser, supposedly with PTSD. Only this fucking country has a welfare system where you morons get to abuse it and hard-working people have to pay for it. in any other fucking country. A person with the leg blown off still has to fend for himself.
Well those people made an agreement with the government that they would be taken care of if they were disabled as a result of their service. Whether you like it or not you don’t get to renege on your end of the deal when it comes time to uphold it.

We can talk about cutting it from benefits for future soldiers, but I bet you won’t get too many people volunteering then.
